I don't know why but I thought this ballongdansen tradition was a Danish thing. Now, you see, I've just been responsible for one of those things that drives me nuts about boards like this...the dissemination of misinformation.

I read over the 6 pages in this thread. From what I understand from all this, we have found pictures from 2004 and 2005 and the video for the 2004 event. Is there anybody who still needs to get a copy of the 2004 vid? If so, should I provide a rapidshare link or should I post it here in multiple parts?

Yes. You're right. We've got the 2002, ONE pic from 2003, 2004 and 2005 pics and the video from 2004. That's all that it online at the moment...ANYWHERE.

I'm still hoping for the 2003 pics and the 2005 video...if they excist.

everytime i download from rapidshare now, the file does not come up as a video file. Can anyone explain why this occurs.

By the way you are one lucky pig that saw the 2004(?) incident live. I wish I did too, but maybe it was for the greater good that I didn't - I think I would have had a heart attack :eek:

From what you write, I understand that you must know many of the girls, and that makes you even luckier - if I had pics like these of female classmates etc, I would have quit my studies and part time job immediately, and placed myself in front of the computer all day long :D

These "balongdansen" pictures creep me out. I think because everyone in them looks and acts the same; it's like they're all brothers and sisters in some weird-ass Children of the Corn movie.

Just in case anyone is interested or cares, the instrumental that they are dancing to in these videos is entitled "Wheels" and was a classic guitar instrumental from the 1950s originally released by the Fireballs, a group of teens from the Northwest US, I believe. It was also covered by Chet Atkins on several of his albums in the 50s and 60s. BTW: Videos and photos are great, are there more? Thanks for posting.

Wow, I actually found the 2005 video. The quality isn't as great as the 2004 vid, but it is still good. It is 289 MB (20 minutes long) though and am not sure how I intend to post it. This took me forever to find so I'll have to make a few copies of in on my computer for safe keeping.

You could probably upload it to One Click Home Videos. I know that one of the previous balongdansen videos is on there now.
