Here's my take:

The first couple are on the beach, by themselves. With no one around that they know, she's brave enough to take her top off.

But then, they are surprised to see friends arriving, but it's too late for her to put her top on, so she has to stick it out, knowing her close friends are taking everything in.

She folds her arms defensively and tries to get her boyfriend's attention, but the awkward exchange carries on so, by the fifth photos, she thinks, screw this, I'm going to make my tits as visible as possible.

At the time, she's angry but, later on, is turned on by the experience and wants to be seen topless by his friends again.

hello, my wife is often the lonely woman topless when we're with friends.

This is the most interesting dynamic. My girlfriend and I went on holiday with her bff and her boyfriend last summer. Her friend went topless on the beach and it was amazing to see her tits, even though they we not so big. My girlfriend wouldn’t go topless even though she has previously when we have been on holiday. When I asked her about it she said she didn’t feel comfortable doing it because she didn’t know her friends boyfriend that well.
However she is perfectly happy normally to get them out in front of total strangers when just the two of us go away. Go figure this woman’s logic!!!!
We’re planning to go on a trip with them again but nothing booked yet and my gf wants to stay in the uk because the weather is nice rn.

it's quite normal. Girls go topless on the beach if there aren't anyone they know around.

Showing their breasts to strangers evidently embarrasses them less than showing them to friends and acquaintances.

I still find it very exciting when some girls go topless and others don't,

and I'd like to understand the psychology of both.
