Here is one I made myself a couple of years back. I just love how you really get a sense of how the person looks. Very intimate = very erotic.

Yes! Exactly! That's why I love posture pics (as they are known) like this.

When you say you made this, do you mean just the composite or the pictures themselves too? If you made the pics, who is the woman?

Thanks

Fango

Beth is AWESOME! Thanks for sharing - it is really cool seeing composites like that.

I always thought it was kind of like Urband Legend that they use to make the freshmans take these
"so-called" profile pics when coming in to one of the Ivy League schools. (forgot which one)
I had read about it an article and it was legit too....and used for some kind of profiling.
The big thing is that some of the celebrities out there and some news people (anchor, reporters etc.) who had attended the college had tried to make them not accessible....Diane Sawyer being one of the latest.
They have since stopped the unusual profile photos...but then again maybe Akira Gomi is the one who took those pictures and now has published them.....hence why the pics above seem older telling by their fashion wardrobe.

Who knows......

Hillary Clinton was another one that had to be photographed nude. Those ivy league idiots at Yale forced every student to pose nude because they were trying to find a connection between body shape and intelligence.

That's how stupid those ivy league idiots were/are. When it was revealed that Hillary posed nude, the news showed a picture of her with her naughty bits covered up, basically only showing her dumb looking face with glasses.

That's how stupid they were? They got all the young women to pose nude for them in the name of some kind of science and you think they're idiots?

Stupid like a fox, they were.

I did take the photos themselves, and pasted them together as seen. I was inspired by the Gomi work I had come across before.

In that case, do you mind if I ask how you know her? Friend? Girlfriend? Or just a model you hired?

Thanks

Fango

jimidean 06-24-2008 04:10 PM

She was a roommate of a girl I worked with. I asked her if she'd model for me as a figure study, and she agreed.

Am I crazy, or is this girl the same as the model in this news story from yesterday?

CityWolf 11-27-2008 02:53 AM

Amazing

You are absolutely correct. It is an exact match.

As to whether you are crazy, that is a tougher question. Unquestionably, this shows that you spend too much time looking at porn. Like me.

On the other hand, either the scientist or the writer of the article is also spending too much time with porn. This is not just the same girl, but the same picture.

I found this forum specifically because I was looking for these. It was pretty sweet finding so many in one place, but having found out what they were, I kept looking, and I think managed to track down all 100, including a few that weren't here. I also found a couple from sources that were subtly different than these, and I tweaked all of them to get rid of that sickly yellow/green tinge.

Since I'm not sure whether reposts of minor alterations like that would be appreciated, I will attach just the originals of the ones that seem to be missing here for the time being. The new names are appended b/c I'm so methodical--"b" or "c" correspond to pics I found at alternate sources but still named "americans-###.jpg" with the ### preserved. The "g" ones I guessed the corresponding number based on the sequence I found them in, but they were named completely different and semi shuffled (like just named w/random numbers, but in a sequence where 10 or 20 would be in the same order as the "americans" sequence).

(or pixellation more accurately) Evidently that's some sort of law in japan, and the artist's name sounds pretty japanese, so my bet is that this is present from the original sequence unfortunately. I have been trying out various different ways to reduce the effect (pretty sure it can't be perfectly restored), but not having a great deal of luck so far.

I did fix what I feel like are kinda weird color problems, don't know if that's age or weird lighting, but these look more like "natural light" to me-- here's the whole set monkeyed with (& adjusted to fit 1680x1050 w/o scaling every time).

There was also a interactive CD-ROM put out by Gomi of the Americans series, which I've seen screen caps of, but know little else about. It does not appear to have much material that the books (and scans) lack.

I wouldn't waste any time looking for the CD's, unless you have an old computer. The CD's run on Windows 95, 98 and possibly ME, but do not run on Windows XP. I doubt they run on Vista or the new Windows 7, but I haven't attempted either. They don't run on Mac OSX either.

I have the Americans and Yellows 2 (Japanese) on CD, and was one of several individuals who created the 7-image composites on the old Yahoo Posture Picture group. These have been posted all over the Internet for the past 10-12 years or so.

Akira Gomi FAQ

1 Attachment(s)
I knew I had this somewhere. What follows are frequently asked questions from the old Yahoo Group. Remember the line about certain books being in print was written about 10 years ago:

WHO IS AKIRA GOMI?

Akira Gomi is a professional photographer from Japan. During the early-to-mid 1990s, he created a number of works containing posture-style images (“posture pictures”). Not surprisingly, most of his works contained images of Japanese women.

WHAT ARE SOME OF HIS WORKS?

Gomi's most well-known works are “Yellows 2.0 Tokyo 1993” and “Americans 1.0 Los Angeles 1994.” Another well-known work is “Yellows 3.0 China.” There was a "Yellows 1.0 Tokyo" but with black-and-white images. The last in the Yellows series was “Yellows 4.0 Men Tokyo 1995,” which featured male models (all of the others were of women.)

Gomi published other “Yellows” books during these years, each with its own theme, containing nude images of varying numbers of Japanese female models, but none ever achieved the following of his posture picture collections.

ARE THEY BOOKS OR CD-ROMS?

Originally his posture works were published as hardcover books and 24-bit CD-ROMS, and were very expensive. Later, a small paperback version and cheaper (8-bit 256 color) CD-ROM were issued. Apparently, the only versions of “Yellows 2.0 Tokyo 1993,” “Yellows 3.0 China,” and “Americans 1.0 Los Angeles 1994” still in print are the paperback books.

All versions of “Yellows 1.0 Tokyo” are apparently out of print. We are not aware of "Yellows 4.0 Men Tokyo 1995" ever being published in paperback or issued as a CD-ROM.

ARE THE BOOKS AND THE CD-ROMS IDENTICAL?

No. While all formats contain posture-style images of 100 different women (or men in the case of “Yellows 4.0”), the hardcover editions contained black-and-white images, while the paperback editions as well as the CD-ROMs were exclusively color.

The paperback book contains but a small portion of the images included in the CD-ROM version of the same work. Moreover, there may be 8 images of one model but only 2 images of another. Nor are the poses consistent from model to model.

The CD-ROM contains a movie (actually a slide show) of various poses of each model. Most importantly, it contains an index of all 100 models. By clicking on the face image, the viewer is then treated to a slide show of eight images of the particular model: clothed front view, facial close-up, nude front view, nude left view, nude rear view, nude
right view, close-up nude rear view and close-up nude front view.

WHERE DO THE IMAGES POSTED TO THIS E-GROUP COME FROM?

Most of what's here and elsewhere on the Internet was captured from the CD-ROM versions of "Americans 1.0 Los Angeles 1994" and “Yellows 2.0 Tokyo 1993.” This is especially true of the 7-image composites. Other images, including those from "Yellows 3.0 China," were likely scanned from the paperback book versions.

WHY ARE THERE NO IMAGES OF MEN?

As noted above, Gomi has only published one collection of male posture Pictures, "Yellows 4.0 Men Tokyo 1995." There are two likely reasons for the focus on women:

1. Japanese censorship requires digital blurring of genitals. This works OK on women's public hair, but blurring a man's penis ruins the effect.

2. The market for books containing images of nude men is MUCH smaller than for nude women. Yes, there may be women here or there who like to look at pictures of nude men, but the market is pretty much confined to gay men.

And finally, Akira Gomi:

Posture Pics.

Hi all,

Most of those posture sets have been floating around various websites for some years now.
However, this is the first time I have seen them censored (pixalated).
Therefore this has obviously been done since they were first published.

If you like these pics then you might also be interested in:- naked-people.de

And finally, Akira Gomi:

Sorry to revive such an ancient topic, but I've done as much digging as I could on my own, and now I turn to the wisdom of the internet:

In 2022, someone posted an .iso rip of the original CD-ROM of Americans 1.0 to the Internet Archive. Around the same time someone on 4chan appeared with a full recovery on Mega that was empty by the time I got to it, though I did find an Imgur album that (frustratingly) cropped out parts of every photo and I've posted some samples below.

Did anyone here download the recovery before it vanished? Failing that, could anyone with more technical wizardry take a crack at extracting any images from the .iso? I've had no such luck with the latter.

Any and all help would be much appreciated. Many thanks! :)
