Thanks Bareclaw! I looked it up on Bing maps, and the building sure looks different than what the front of it made it look.

Anyone know the location of 'The Alley Cat"

Buck Turgidson 11-16-2012 10:56 PM

The picture of Soccermom in front of "The Alley Cat" was in Dana Point, CA

I'd been stumped by this one before, but I couldn't resist your challenge. The store is no longer there, but I found a seven year old webpage that listed it's location (and logo):

Are you sure you are talking about the correct pic? The woman standing in front of the statue of the shaking of hands. If so, where in DC is this statue?

Thanks to Crispus who showed that this pic is a composite (note the division between grass and sand); the statue is Maillol's "l'Air" in the Tuileries garden, Paris

Per Crispus: The sculpture is "Numbers" by Anton Palmer, in North Palmerston, New Zealand; see flickr.com/photos/28497805@N05/7066939669/sizes/l/ and flickr.com/photos/28497805@N05/7066913871/sizes/l/ .

Thanks Crispus, always a great job!

Can you describe which one is the Hospital. I googled that hospital, and don't see it in the picture.

This is the Financial District of Downtown Los Angeles. The building in the center is the Aon Center (this photo might pre-date that name) and the building framing the picture on the right is Figueroa at Wilshire. Because of the barb-wired fence, I figure the picture was taken in one of the empty lots that line the Harbor Freeway.

(Sorry for the spaces and lack of full URLs, but the server automatically asterisks the inadvertent forbidden word embedded in the word for "tall building.")

Per the Master Detective Crispus:
That'd be Santa Cruz CA; see 123rf.com/photo_1762126_santa-cruz-beachfront-amusement-arcade-buildings-with-holidaymakers-on-the-beach-front.html and photographybypearl.blogspot.com/2011/10/blanche-lucy-say-goodbye-to-bay-area-in.html to confirm.

I still haven't determined the location but I am assuming that it is somewhere in the San Francisco Bay Area, as she is wearing the same shirt when flashing in this known San Francisco pic, near the Argonaut Hotel.

Anyone able to determine this location? There's a Glad Farms in Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin, but I can't verify the pic was taken there. The 2nd word, that the flashing lady is partially covering, may not even be "farms".

RE: Anyone recognize the building in the background?

She's sitting in the San Francisco Embarcadero Plaza and the building in the background is the Ferry Building. Many more of this set out in virtual-land.
