I took a lot of pics of these three girls, but despite the fact that the brown girl here didn't make it all the way into the pic, this one is one of my favorites of the bunch. Two reasons. One - clarity (not rain dampened) and two - its the best pic of the girl on the right that I have.

Thanks for suffering the terrible weather guys (both riders and snappers;)) but it really does seem to have put a downer on the event (just like Brighton WNBR) this year.

The riders really do not radiate the 'I am naked in front of 1000's of people' feeling that a warm sunny day (think London WNBR 2011) that I really find so attractive. Despite the smiles, I get 'how soon can I cover up and get warm again', which is totally understandable. There were also quite a few really 'ugly' paint jobs on super bodies too, perhaps they asked for an extra coat:D:D:D

Yes Pedro, I saw some sour looking faces, but also lots of beaming ones. But i wasn't beaming myself as usual as I tried to keep my camera dry and lamented that this year (unlike last) the weather report was too rosy.

Also having some problems with auto focus at close range. May need a need lens...

Just to follow up again on the weather etc, - you know, you learn a lot from following the posts in Solcycles and more and more i am reminded of how many of these riders are flying in from out of town, making big sacrifices in time and money to be here. They are probably planning for this for months and may never have been to Seattle or the northwest before. It saddens me to think that they might leave here with nothing but memories of rain and mist.

Which I guess is why f I go to Europe, I am much likely to go to Spain or Southern France than London. :)

Take a look at this girl. I think the difference between this year and last years Fremont Parade might have been one of attitude and the timing of the rain. In both years, the weather was bad, but last year at the painting party, I don't recall that it was actually raining. It was only raining later at Gaswork Park. So at Hales, girls still came outdoors after getting their paint job and milled about in front of photographers. This year, due to the chilly drizzle, they all seemed to stay inside until the last minute, exiting only when told the ride was about to begin. Probably many had expressions like this one when they first tested the weather outside. But for me, this meant that the painting party was pretty much of a bust in terms of photos. ONce you are on the road, rain or no rain, you must continue and you keep warm thru your cycling. But given the choice between waiting inside or outside before the ride starts, most I think would opt to wait indoors with this kind of weather. The result, unfortunately for me, was few pics from the painting party this year :( and her expression? Kind of a "grumph" and "yuk"......that says it all..

The pics are already piling up on flickr, but here's a small selection of what stood out for me.

Among other things, I was thrilled to discover the Sonics girl has at least one partner. Were there more? Dare I hope for a full team? In any event, the two of them are cute, fully nude, and seem to be having a load of fun despite the drizzle. Good on them.

Also, I'll be looking out for more pics of the gold/yellow/blue-headscarfed hippie girl snapped by kaciejames during the painting party. She's cute, has a great smile, and was the only one of her group that posed fully naked, whereas the rest kept their bottoms. That's always sexy to me, when one girl goes the extra mile among of a group of more conservative friends. Not the best pic of her here, but I'm a completist...

Speaking of the lone nude theory, I believe the girl on the pushbike in the last photo fits that category as well. Her friends are clearly wearing bottoms, but I think she might be bottomless. Need to see more pics to say for certain.

I think the 2nd-to-last pic is the first girl Klondike posted. I think he was wondering if she rode fully nude or not. It appears she did.

First photo- About 5 minutes after everyone had left... these girls came walking down the street and grabbed there bikes. A little embarrassed but were willing to pose for a photo... I have video of them including the girl in green doing a truffle shuffle type dance move :-)

Two more "Sonics," the second illustrating what seems to be the silver lining to the weather at Brighton, Vancouver, Amsterdam, Montpelier WNBRs as well as here: not to downplay how much better in terms of our viewing (and our own photographers' health and well-being: especial merit-in-the-face-of-foul-conditions kudos to you all!) sunny skies would have been, but a) there were indeed gems glistening in the mist, and b) based on the comments from riders Klondike cited, as well as the expressions on these two faces, plenty of those who came through this will be back for more (especially if it doesn't rain next time!)...

That girl is in lots of my pics. Generally speaking, I post fully nude babes first, then move on to topless-only babes. She was topless only which is the only reason I haven't posted more pics of her yet. Look for more..
