"As Nature Intended", a book about the historical development of nudism and naturism had a section about early German proponents in the 1920's. One early founder, located in Berlin had a gymnasium where everyone did exercises in the nude, including this sort of dancing in a big circle. My copy is in storage, so I can't provide any details.

Perhaps some of the articles could be posted in the non-fiction section? I am curious about what a nudist serial as advertised in the very last magazine cover could be about.

I know it all depends on time.

A sad coincidence I note that consummate nudist queen Diane Webber and her friend nudist queen Mary Ann Mason - a stunningly beautiful blonde, seen accepting the nudist queen crown from Diane in a photo elsewhere on this site, both died of cancer on the same day - August 19, 2008. RIP

Classic nudist magazines
 

Thanks again for scanning and posting the nudist magazine covers.
Someone is missing a good bet by not reprinting complete editions of the old magazines -- not just "best of" compilations, but complete editions, like you see old National Geographics in the libraries.
Some of those picture articles would still be of interest.

There's one article I'd like to scan and post here (assuming I figure out my scanner issues) because I found it a disturbing but fascinating look how some people thought back in the 1950s.

The article was about the "negro problem" and whether naturist clubs should admit people of color. Although he wrote in a calm, reasoned manner, the author exposed himself as rabidly racist. He implied that the only reason blacks would join would be to look at white women naked.

I was aghast when I first read it back in the 1980s; I couldn't believe that people thought that way, and if they did, that they could be stupid enough to put their thoughts in print.
