My girlfriend at the time chose to do a thesis on the Jane comic strips whilst we were at university. I always liked to think her interest meant they were at least a bit of a turn on for her (which then was for me), but she consistently denied this. Obviously when I first found out about the content of the comics she'd picked to study I fantasised about getting her to recreate a few of them, but my suggestions never went anywhere :(

She had a book of collected strips, but I don't remember the title. I've tried to find the comics on the web a few times but never had much luck beyond that VE day one already posted ... maybe I should get hold of one of the books off amazon..

Jane at War, is out of print (but usually turns up on ebay). Jane; a Pinup at War, is currently in print, but doesn't seem to focus much on the comic strip. There is another book called; The Misadventures of Jane, currently in print, and it's supposed to reprint all of the war time strips.
