Great Stuff
Wow,
I'm not usually crazy about "vintage" stuff because the quality is usually low. But these are GREAT! BTW, do you have any more of this girl? https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/atta...0&d=1276507016 She's a "look alike" of a friend and I'd love to have all you can find of her! Also, feel free to post the damaged ones and if/when I have time, I'll restore them and repost them here. It might be easiest to post the ones needing work all in a zip, but either way is cool. Thanks for the CONSIDERABLE work you're putting into this!! DD |

They were clean shaven as it was easier to touch out the 'naughty bits' - this was later done with an air brush - it was a requirement of the time. Some more to keep you going. No, I have not forgotten the ZIP - it's on its way but I have a living to earn!

Here's a zip of everything so far. These are the jpg's as no-one said what they preferred.

JPEGS are preferred
Yes,
JPEGs are vastly preferred in that a properly compressed JPEG is going to retain 99% of the original quality (particularly with B&W) at a fraction of the size. I'm not even certain that OCC supports BMP, but it's a moot point. The biggest issue with B&W is that any fixes must match the luminance perfectly or the eye will see it, particularly on a decent monitor with rich black levels. For those with Photoshop, a combination of the Healing Brush and Clone Brush is used. I totally understand about having to "earn a living" and time. I've misspent so many nights on this site when I had family obligations to attend to! But if you get the chance to post a zip of the damaged ones, either I or one of the other many regulars here will likely be able & willing to spend some time fixing them. I personally love posting the "Before & After" versions so that everyone can see the improvement. Your jpegs have been good quality so far. Obviously, the bigger, the better. You can always reduce the size or dpi later. DD |
I shall put up some more later - got a major programming problem to sort out right now - so why am I here?????

DiskoDaddy- as these are English ladies, she may be one of two well known models. She could be Pamela Green or June Palmer. The former is still making a living from selling copies of her pictures, though she is an old lady now. You could Google these names and see what comes up.
I have just discovered that Pamela Green died one month ago from leukaemia at the age of 81. Suprisingly, this was not mentioned in the local paper (she lived a couple of miles away from me). However, the lady that you want is neither Pamela Green nor June Palmer - still worth Googling though. |
