I've had some health issues the past few years and have to limit walking somewhat. My idea is to catch the action somewhere in Golden Gate Park. But the biggest problem for me would be if I couldn't park close to where I will be snapping pics. Any advice on parking so as to not have to walk too far to catch runners? I'll go where I have to...and take public transportation if I have to....inside or outside the park.

thanks again,

Klondike

Good luck this weekend, hope it all goes well.

Yes, good luck this weekend Klondike! There's not a ton I can do, but if you need anything let me know, since you enrich my life daily on this forum!
My wife is running (clothed) :( so I will be further up the course towards downtown fairly early in the morning.

There is free parking around the Golden gate Park .... but .... umm - - - I think that you'd better get there early for that :)

There is also a parking garage ( the Music Concourse Garage ) near the Botanical gardens ; which is part of the Golden Gate Park - - - but I'm not too sure how far this is from the race / runner's route .

Of course , Parking Garage = paid parking , by the hour etc .....

Good luck !

So now we know there must have been some nudity! The first I've found so far; see the really big size at http://www.flickr.com/photos/2535680...7618272470741/

The weather forecast said it would be in the 30s (C) so that should not have put anyone off stripping off, lets hope!!!

Here are a couple, love the dyed pubes girls, search Bay to Breakers nude/naked on Flikr if you want the oversize version that are huge:eek:......

yes, Crispus, there was some nudity. :)

The weather today was perfect here in San Francisco (NO FOG!), and I had a great time covering B to B. But I wouldn't exactly describe the turnout of nudes to be "perfect" also. Thankfully, luck was on my side for a while though, and its a good thing because I didn't really know where to be and when. So I have some nice pics to share, but they won't go up right away since I'm on the road and tight for time. Meanwhile, enjoy these from Flickr. They show some girls i didn't see even though I watched almost the entire race from start to finish.

As pics from others come across, I'm definately going to be wanting to know exactly where along the route they were taken. That way I'll be better prepared next year.

With thousands of runners, I knew that picking nudes out would be like finding the needle in the haystack. Its still worth it, though, and I think you will enjoy my pics. Clothed runners outnumber the nudes by about a 500 to one. :)
