I really like upshorts. Not sure what it is about them, but they're awesome.

because it doesnt even cross the girls mind that she might be revelling something.

I once dated a girl, a single mom, who was very modest and careful when wearing a skirt.
However, in short shorts, she felt invulnerable to curious eyes. Because her favored style
was tight across the bottom but loose on the legs, she seldom wore panties so the lines
wouldn't show. She just didn't seem to comprehend that every time she squatted down to
attend to her child, or slid out of a booth in a restaurant, her labia lips were on display.She
thought the looks and smiles were all about her cute fashion sense. Yeah, she was blond.
I felt a little guilty for not telling her (not).

This reminds me when a few years back we were at a school field trip, and we were going up these outdoor stairs which were designed like fire escape stairs in an old apartment building, when this one girl yells out, "I don'n have any underwear under my shorts, this is going to suck." Of course I tried to get a peek but her shorts were not loose enough. Oh, well, at least I tried.
