Ah, that ShockTV07 clip's from a 90's show called Tonight Live with Steve Vizard. I was going to mention it, as it really stuck with me over the years! I think the bit involved X-Ray glasses on the tv camera, which then filmed the audience. Off topic, but I remember another time some guy was doing a cooking segment and his suit sleeve caught on fire. They nervously went to a break while he ran around screaming. It was very disturbing to my young eyes.

Interestingly, the format of the show was completely ripped off from Letterman, with a wacky bandleader, Top Ten lists and even that hand gesture/musical sting thing that Leno now does too, I think. Vizard was a creep who (I guess) thought that Australians would never get Letterman on their TV screens. Of course, we got Letterman not long after that, ona rival network! He was also involved in some insider trading scandal recently which made him look like an even bigger jerk than we all thought. Ugh.
