I like the thank you button, my only suggestion would be this:-

When you click the thanks button it not only puts your name in the box but in the main thread/forum it registers that you have "posted a reply" if you know what I mean.

I think you are asking for the "Thanks" button to also increase your post count? If so, that's not really what we intend it for.

The "Thanks" button is easy. :)
Posting takes a little more effort.;)

Not at all, it's more to remind urself which threads you've looked at.

If I press the "thanks" button and then move on, next time I log in the same thread may be at the top of the pile again after someone has posted. Do you see what I mean?
