An additional thought, more in keeping with the forum theme.

She usually retreated to a dressing room to change outfits. In one instance she just slipped a dress over the lingerie outfit, a teddy or something. She was then requested to sit on top of a low modeling pylon. She became a bit upset that, depending on the pose, some of us could see up her dress. I wondered why, given that we had all seen her in the teddy. At a later time, I asked her about that. She said that once she was dressed, it just felt embarrassing to her.

Any chance you still have some of those photos to share with us? :D

Fango

I looked last weekend but I did not find the original negatives. I DID find some old work sheets from my various darkroom projects in the 80s, including one sheet with five photos of the model. We're still friends, so I blocked her eyes. After scanning, I rearranged them. I tried to clean them up, correct the faded contrast etc using Corel Photo Paint.

These photos are not very good or exciting. I know that. I took many photos that day, but most are lost in time. For some reason I used these particular photos for experiments in my darkroom. They were not intended to be seen by others. I don't even remember why I chose them. Perhaps I was trying some things using my newly learned darkroom techniques. I seem to remember that sharply defining the lace without making her skin leathery was a challenge.

For the curious: It was a college "Continuing Education" photography class that met on Saturday mornings. This was our first session using a live outside model. This lesson focused on lighting issues for "glamour" photography with an "active lifestyle" theme. My own challenge was depth of field and focus. That is what was behind the torso shots. The teacher's wife provided the outfits, partly to promote her "party plan" lingerie and sportswear business. Looking back, she probably picked the theme. She did let us know that she offered student discounts.

A quick word about the model. She was sympathetic and helpful to our needs. Her attitude made us all relax a bit. However, she demanded respect in return. She was aware that we were not the intense art majors with whom she had developed a comfort zone. For someone who had learned on the job, she was very good.

Those pics are a lot sexier than you might think. :) Thanks for sharing, nothere, and it was definately worth it to me that you took the time to dig them up.

cheers,
