My wife's family doctor and his wife were close friends with her parents, they played bridge together weekly. So my wife knew that doctor almost her entire life. Since they were in a rural area this doctor also delivered babies and did pelvic exams. When it was time for her to co to college, the college required all students to have a complete physical, for my wife, GF at the time, that meant the doc would be the one to do it.
