The movie was one of the really strong ones- it's funny, as a super fan of ENF, this didn't bother me and actually made me chuckle, since it's the first "naked woman" joke really made in the MCU for a while or up to this point- and could be a hint of things to come down the road. I think it would definitely be played more for ENF or comedy anyways, so money is good there. Either way, movie is fine without it, although two of my favorite things together would be amazing. I just joked with a friend about how close we had gotten. But there's always fanfic for now!

It’s been pointed out many times that male nudity, especially rear, is considered funny, but female nudity is considered sexy. Marvel is fine doing comedy but not sexy. I don’t think it’s any more complicated or political than that. Not likely to see any real nudity from Marvel, ever, in my opinion.

If my comment is the one that pushes this thread over the too much discussion limit, so be it.

Then it shows Valkyrie and Jane enjoying the show, but then Zeus notices them. He says something about seeing who your friends really are, and moves his hand to flick off Jane and Valkyrie's clothes. The pair freak, stand up and rip off their disguises.

This was probably the worst ENF tease I've seen. Two gorgeous actresses were about to get stripped... and then didn't. Very nearly a top all time ENF scene, what a bummer!

I agree. However, let's be honest, though: we've seen Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie) naked, and she has small breasts. We haven't seen Natalie Portman (Jane) in the nude yet, though, so it remains to be seen how large her breasts are. In case you're wondering, yes, I'm a huge fan of women with large breasts. Also, I mean, I know that it's not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but there was two Fantastic Four movies with Jessica Alba as Sue Storm in them from 2005 & 2007. The first one had her strip down to her bra and panties on the Brooklyn Bridge; and I was disappointed that her no-nudity clause prevented us from seeing her completely naked.

It's not just Disney, most entertainment companies fall under the hegemony of "woke" 3rd wave feminism, in which objectifying and humiliating a woman (any woman) is obviously always considered bad. But objectifying and humiliating a man is seen as an "inversion of the patriarchy," so in their minds the double-standard is justified. Gender parity/equality will not come until the woke hegemony is dissolved, in the meantime it will only be seen outside of mainstream entertainment. It's not necessarily easy to do, but maybe it's time for people who don't like it to create their own content.

Yes, I couldn't agree more. I absolutely hate "woke" 3rd wave feminism. It has been a really long time since there's been a comedy movie or even a superhero movie with legitimate fanservice ENF. I blame that on the "Me Too" movement.

That’s true, but it seems like wokeness is over the hill, because it makes companies that embrace it loose money. They can‘t afford that forever

We HAVE seen Natalie Portman nude. There are topless beach photos of her that were taken around the time those awful Star Wars prequels came out. She has small perfect breasts.

She was also bottomless in "Hotel Chevalier" but it was a side view only so you don't really see anything.

I guess there's something to that, since we all find naked women as sexy. Personally I think if Valkyrie and Jane had been stripped it would have been both funny and sexy.

I had no idea there's a discussion limit. That's wild.

I think both these women are totally gorgeous and would love to see more.

I like Natalie Portman, but she was totally miscast in the Thor movies. They were probably trying to bring in the Star Wars fans, at the time. Now, the Marvel films are more popular than the Star Wars films (and they're not nearly as bad).
