Since you questioned me in public instead of using a PM, I'll answer you in public.
Your post was deleted because I do not like my threads getting cluttered up with unimaginative, monosyllabic comments like, "this is hot."
The criteria for comments given to the moderators in the RULES are, "VITAL" or "INTERESTING." I found, "this is hot," to be neither. This is why we have a THANKS button.

No worries, I didn't think it was all that different to someone writing "this is going to be special" though. The rule in question seems to apply to pointless bumping of threads, which isn't what I was doing in this case as the thread is currently active.

I think you might have deleted a similar comment I made in an Osreb thread last week too. Was that for the same reason?

This is a thread of pictures, not a discussion. But you're right, "this is hot" isn't all that different from "this is going to be special." So why say it again?
