i changed clip 3 into divx5.1.1 and edited the brightness.
i also made a vidcap.

because there was none talking, i removed the sound to make the file size smaller aswell :-)

What are you using to edit the vids? Anything out there as a free download I can use? I'm a poor man so I can't afford to buy anything (unless VERY cheap!). It would save us both a lot of probs if you didn't have to keep editing me. I have hours of tapes I can load on my puter as I find time.

it depends on what i want to do with a clip, as to what program i use. I mainly use virutaldub for editng and enhancing. I then use CDelight for making the vidcap's.
Let me know what kind of editing you wanted to do, and i'll see what programs i can find for free.

My Needs
 

All I have to transfer my videos from tape to computer is AverMedia neoDVD standard (never paid for options so all it will do is capture from my VCR to the computer, no adjustments). As most of my tapes are "pinhole" cameras the lighting, contrast, and focus are pretty much what you see in my first posts. I do have some more recent vids in which I have a brighter bathroom so quality is a little better. I just need something I can either capture from tape to puter where I can adjust brightness, contrast, etc or else a program I can adjust them with after I capture with my present AverMedia neoDVD.
Suggestions? I have more of twin 1 and some of twin 2 to go along with an 18 year old boarder that stayed with my ex and I, the ex's sister, ex-gfs, ex-gf's daughters(20 & 22yo), friend's wife, brother's wife....

I also use Aver for transferring VHS to my PC. I bought AVerTV DVB-T digital TV card, but it records onto my PC with MPEG2. Its a pain to edit, so i encode it with divx5.1.1 for edting.
I think vitualdub will do the trick for you.
I'll have a word with a friend of mine who gave me my copy, and maybe i'll be able to send you a copy of mine.
