Well, if I REALLY wanted to, I could invoke a Rule 21 violation: "Do not post a general topic request without uploading an example of what you are looking for."

I wouldn't mind posting images on this thread but in my message, I posted a request for such images. I didn't post images as I haven't posted here and wasn't sure if my posts would be removed for violation of posting rules.

Many members have those images and they could have shared on this thread. The idea for such a thread is good.

First, read the rules of the board:

Then, before posting a photo, ask yourself if it violates any rule that you just read. If it doesn't violate any rule, then it won't be removed, unless another member asks for it to be removed because it's their stolen property.

If you had read the rules after you joined OCC, you would have known that starting a thread by making a request without any examples was a violation of Rule 21.

I initially let it slide because I was curious as to how many people would call you out publicly or report you, or help you without question.

It's just plain rude to go somewhere and ask for something, and then declare you're not going to give anything in return. This is a sharing site. That means give and take; not just take.

It's very simple. Posts are what make threads survive. If no one posts, the thread gets pushed back into oblivion. If it gets bumped enough by posts with no attachments, sooner or later it gets sentenced to the Graveyard.
If someone doesn't post in his own thread then no one else should either. That will quicken it's death considerably.
