Update...
Just a quick update...
Neither my wife nor I had heard from Davis for about two weeks when suddenly he popped up on her FB chat program to say "Hi" to her. She said hello back to him and after an awkward start, they began to chat. She chided him for just disappearing on her. He apologized and explained to her that his father had had a serious health scare that had kept him distracted and off the internet for the most part.
