I love these ladies -- have spent a lot of time in Thailand. Many from unfortunate circumstances but do their best to maintain their smiles. I say, support them every chance you get! Here's a favorite lady I see when I visit.

Really??? Who are "they"? How was the estimate made? How do those doing the survey decide who is and isn't a prostitute?

I'm not endorsing riding hookers bareback (anywhere)... but making up statistics is out of order. Especially overblown, silly ones. Incidentally, I think the estimate you're misquoting is one for the percentage of HIV transmitted heterosexually.
