FYI, pics 2 and 3 are of Julie Newmar (aka Catwoman from the old Batman TV show) in some stills from the movie "McKenna's Gold". They are either outtakes or publicity stills since in the movie she's not wearing the loincloth when she goes swimming.

Unless memory fails (and at my advanced stage of geezerdom, it might well), those pictures, as this, WERE from the movie "MacKenna's Gold" (which I taped on VHS eons ago), and were featured in Playboy, where the text indicated that she DOES wear the loincloth to dive in, "and emerges bottomless as well"; there were also some underwater shots with Gregory Peck...

Yeah the above pic(rear shot) is from the movie, but i'm almost certain the fairly closeup topless pics from the previous page were not.. I think, no i'm sure i would have remembered it.
and i don't think they would have been publicity stills..not back in those days, surely.... possibly outtakes that playboy picked up, unless they went back to the location with her and took some snaps

That these are publicity stills is more likely than you might think. The movie was released in 1969, one year after the MPAA "M" rating was devised which allowed nudity in general-release American films. This was analogous to the current PG or PG-13 rating. The producers likely would have had the publicity photographer take the photos to publicize the film by touting its nudity or for promotion in the European market where nudity wasn't such a big deal, especially since this was a really big-budget Western for the times and had a lot of well-known stars in it.

Or maybe they just wanted to memorialize Julie Newmar's tatas, a laudable purpose if ever there was one.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled nudity.
