looks like the pacific Northwest, for sure. I checked this pic against College Cove, CA, a known nude beach. There's some similarity in the rocks, but it doesn't appear to be from that beach. Otherwise, there aren't really any nude beaches along the immediate coast, so this was just a moon flashed wherever..

Thanks for looking into this, Klondike. I thought it may be a famous rock formation, maybe just looks like all of the other rocks in the PNW.

Anyone able to determine where this sign pic was taken?

ah ha! I found it! Its Whaleshead Beach, about 7mi north of Brookings in southern Oregon. Go here:

The key to finding it was realizing that that rock in the water is called a "sea stack". That was the key search term.
