My wife and I used to subscribe to H&E in the 90s. It was a really good magazine with great looking people celebrating nudity and also excellent articles about nudism. We actually went to a few of the resorts highlighted when we were travelling through Europe. Shame it has gone.

H&E is still going strong. Very few newsagents stock it but I subscribe to the online edition.

Seem to remember it briefly going through a phase where they stopped showing full frontal nudity as to discourage certain types of purchasers only for them to take something of a sales dip. Or is that a false memory?

Yes, I used to buy and also had them delivered to my address from the late 60s to the 2000s. Now you can buy them on-line. The earlier additions 60/70 progressed from airbrushed photos to complete full frontal nudity. Often a few spread legs photos managed to creep in, as did worked on dicks, but they avoided actual erections. The last 10/15 yrs the censorship became too much for a supposedly open and frank magazine for naturists and I stopped prescribing. Yes they stopped producing the front cover photos showing genitals to be able to sell their magazines in W H Smith's, along with more politically correct content. Some of the late 60s photos often depicted girls by the swimming pool at Eureka. When they announced a shoot would be taking place they often appealed for men to "volunteer" to take part. Quite a few photos never actually reached the magazine!

I never offered photos but did send in a few letters of our experiences on naturists beaches. One on our stay at Maspalomas beach, on the Canary Islands of a sexual encounter we experienced was printed.
