It's odd, but I get a lot more response posting stuff I find on line, than the thread where I post self taken WNBR photos! I guess that says something about my 'normal' photography skills:D:D:D

Here is one of my own shots of this little group!!

PEdro, when I saw those shots at Flickr you just posted, I thought they were probably yours :) I went back to the photostream to check and see if that user was you. It looked like your work....

No it's not me, I just happened to be standing in a similar spot at the same time!
If the poster is the guy with the 'penis scaffolding', there are plenty more to come, maybe even the ones I took using his camera!

Here are some shots (some of which are new) of a nice group of cuties skinnydipping after Brighton's ride. As you can see, there where several naked guys with cameras waiting to snap them, has anyone found anyone found any better shots?

Here is the snappers Flikr pages, he has a load of shots (posted yesterday) from London 2009, well worth a look....

Sorry mate, when they were posted we were being bombarded with images when they went up, I guess I just saved the closer ones!

Never mind, they are worth the re-post, perhaps folk will show their apreciation by clicking 'Thanks' your post above!

Bryskens 10-30-2010 10:02 AM

This gentleman in red cap, what is he taking picture for?
will it be for his own "straight picture album" of funny vacation pics?
is he really a friend(a dad?) of the young crew who run into the water?

According to Pedro you gotta sneak while taking pictures on the nude beach
or get slaughtered by the offensed girls
even if you are nude yourself, but i guess some situation are so forgiving in what mod the girls seems to be in :p
so you can play along in that mod by smiling and be accepted!! after all he participated
in the same race? so we are more or less considered a huge (well his wasn't so huge) family already
without those sexual feelings

Im such a social genius in interpreting whats behind secred male/female behavior rules :D
well..if the readers understand the basic of English :p
im gonna probalby release a guidebook called "The nude game"...
print it myself and sell...or give for free then!....or force on for free!....to my neighborhood at least!!

Just for complete-ness as much as anything, here are some shots from the Berlin WNBR 2010.

The snapper prefered to snap naked men, so we were lucky that the few women on the ride were not exactly young and cute, and did not miss out too much..;)

More of my London shots. These are at the end of the ride. There was a dance in the street for ten minutes or so - here the french TV girl is dancing, long with the painted girl in green who I think was Spanish.

I just found this topic, and I have only been going through the pictures, not reading what's been said or following any links, so my apologies if this has been brought up already.

I picked up something about some DVD that could not be bought by everybody, but this seem to be a different thing.

Here are some photos from the film (click to enlarge each one of them)

I am not sure if these are re-posts:o, but I know the two girls posing with the black guy are popular, so I thought I would risk it!

These are from about 2,600 Brighton WNBR photos put up by a guy at Flikr but they have all now been 'spaceballed', so I did a screen-capture and crop to get these.

Somebody earlier in the Thread claimed that he has the Vid and asked if he should upload it.

Pedro the Fisherman 11-02-2010 02:15 PM

The vid that was withdrawn from public sale was the Philly 2010 ride video, these have been on sale for about a year, I am still waiting the Brighton 2010 vid, which should be out soon.
No sign of the video being posted, possibly because of the fact that it is 4 gig! I am sure the non-HD version should be smaller, but it seems not!

Pedro the Fisherman 11-02-2010 07:33 PM

If you have wondered what it is like to experience riding in one of these events, check out the video below of Brighton 2010 and will have to suffice until we see the pro video later in the year.

The film maker seems to have mounted a video camera on his bike and filmed virtually the whole 5 hour ride! The clip below is 10 minutes long and plays for me via the VLC player. Alas, I cannot get a screen shot, as .flv files do not work in classic media player.

You will some nice shots of some of the fave girls, from the paint party to the beach! I have put it here, as it seems more fitting than in the video section.

Pedro, his photos are working fine for me if you click on the smallest version of the photo, meaning the tiny one that is seen in "sets" thumbnails. If you click on the merely small version of the photo (as seen in the photostream thumbnails) you definitely get spaceballed.

On a different note, I can't seem to find the exact pictures you posted above no matter how many times I go through the galleries. Can you link directly to one of them? I want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

I will post anything worthwhile I find. I already downloaded a nice series from one of his 2009 sets. I think you'll like it. I'll put it in the 2009 thread.

Hi Flanker, now in 'Set View', I can get them, I was in another viewing mode (photostream?) when I got the spaceball.

I cannot find those shots now either:mad:, they could just be amongst the 4,700 odd, but am I correct in thinking the snapper might have been a member here? If so, perhaps he pulled them?

Just in case, here is a nice one I overlooked the first time I went through these, the yellow girl as she was when she arrived in the morning, fully naked (un-painted) a good 2 hours before the ride started!

thank you for that. despite the spaceball protection, the flickr photos are indeed always available. the low-level trick is this: right-click any gallery thumbnail, choose "copy image location" (or similar), paste that url into your address bar, then change the end of the filename from "_s.jpg" to either "_o.jpg" or "_b.jpg". you always want "_o.jpg" (for "original size"), but it's not always available. "_b.jpg", on the other hand, is always available in my experience. when the "_o.jpg" doesn't exist, the "_b.jpg" is the largest size available.

so, for example, go here:

hxxp://www.flickr.com/photos/39426382@N02/sets/72157624136049109/

then right-click the first thumbnail, choose "copy image location," and paste the url into your address bar:

hxxp://farm5.static.flickr.com/4043/4693825507_cdc350eb24_s.jpg

change "_s.jpg" to "_o.jpg" and press the enter key. you'll get a flickr error page as the result. you can now safely assume that the "_o.jpg" doesn't exist for any photo in the current album. instead, try "_b.jpg":

hxxp://farm5.static.flickr.com/4043/4693825507_cdc350eb24_b.jpg

the result is the largest available version of the photo.

there may be a firefox greasemonkey script to speed this process up (i have one that worked before flickr's latest redesign). i hope this helps.

Recently, I made contact over at Flickr with a frusturated naturist living in San Diego, Ca, who vented about that cities' current intolerance towards public nudity of any kind. It is something that has gotten me a bit curious as once upon a time everyone in the rest of the country looked to southern California as a model in progressive liberalism. Anyway, so now I have become interested in the plight of Sarah Bush, a 20 year old college student who is fighting the city over the right to be naked in public. Sarah simply wants San Diego to allow a naked WNBR to take place just as it does in San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, etc. Here is an article that goes into a bit more detail:

http://www.voiceofsandiego.org/gover...cc4c002e0.html

Sarah desperately needs support. Here we have a young woman who has seen rides elsewhere, has ridden herself in San Francisco, and who is angry enough to take on an entire city. Her city. Her once liberal turned ultra conservative city. I know we can't do much to help her, but I thought I would post this anyway so that at least we are aware of what is going on.

My fear is that San Diego's conservatism will eventually move north to Portland and Seattle. Here, at least, is some hope that a counter movement to make San Diego MORE LIKE Portland and Seattle is afoot. So get to know about Sarah Bush and her efforts - I think that just about everyone here would consider them to be heroic.

Yeabut ...

I have already collected a couple of these images from the user "Bike Tripod".

I find the situation now to be just as you describe - the largest images are "b" ones and 1024x576 in size. However, the versions I collected back in June (in the days after the event) are "o" ones ... and 4864x2736 in size. Which surely means that larger "o" versions exist somewhere - perhaps even on Flickr (if we only knew how to access them !)

San Diego has always been conservative -it was never liberal; trust me - I've lived here all of my 50+ years. In the 70's it was different though - whether that was due to the shorter arm of government, or what, its hard to say. Blacks Beach would regularly attract 30,000-50,000 on the weekends, there was a restaurant in town called Dos Amigos where the waitresses wore those wife beater t-shirts without bras (it was GREAT), wet t-shirt contests occurred semi-frequently throughout the city, etc. Strange that social nudity is so frowned upon. At Mardi Gras events in San Diego it is VERY rare to see a bare breast. REALLY SUCKS!!

If you check voting, San Diego has continually begun to elect more democrats to local, state, and national office, and there is a huge tolerance for the gay community. But when it comes to naturists, nudity, public nudity, etc, it is strictly verbotten. Spencer Tunick could never get away with one of his installations in Southern California.

It's not just San Diego though - check out stories about nude sunbathers at San Onofre (Orange County) and the once GREAT 'Mooning Amtrak' - which has been all but stomped out by the OC Sherriff nazis. Its incredible to think that other states look the other way or at least accomodate public nudity for some events, but everywhere from Santa Cruz south - they treat nudists worst than they treat actual criminals.

I'll see what my friends and I can do to support Sarah, but honestly, I'm not optimistic.....

OK -done with my rant.....

....and thats the time I remember, not being old enough to go back much further than that. I visited So Cal for the first time in 1976. We all took it for granted that liberal attitudes abound there because thats what the media kept telling us.

But part of the problem I guess is your darn cops take policing so seriously, and their bosses are very conservative. New York cops shake their heads when they talk about LA cops.

good point. i have experienced the same thing before, too, and i've always assumed it was because the photos' owner purposely removed the large versions (for whatever reason).

Did I space out on it, both just now in reviewing this thread and when I originally followed it day by day, or did we all miss flickr user /mickythemedic/ ? admittedly, he had a camera that wasn't the best (I'm only including "b" sizes even though "o"s are available, because they really degrade at f/s), and he seems to have gotten nervous shooting on the beach (blurry ones I'm not including), and some of his ones in the Brighton 2010 set are incorrectly listed as shot in '09; but he did get some better/bigger versions of ones Pedro had found (and lamented the size/quality of) at his yahoo group source...

My method for downloading flickr pictures, in windows, using firefox, applying all the caveats about any other OSs and browsers:

Step 1) Find the largest size of the flickr image you want.

Step 2) Right-click on the webpage and select the option View Page Info.

Step 3) Click on the "Media" icon and scroll down until you find the image (not the spaceball nonsense obviously). Click the "Save as" button and bam, it's on your hard drive.

I'm going to guess that this doesn't work for the 4864x2736 "o" images you guys were talking about, but if you just want a large, not hi-def, photo, this method has never failed me.

P.S. the red arrows are just a joke, not trying to imply that I know more about firefox than anyone else.

Even easier, install the Web Developer Toolbar, view the largest size and if it is not copyable click on images in the web developer tool bar, select view image information and it pops up in a new tab and can be saved.
