I am in love!
Would love to see some clearer shots of her downstairs as she was rather hairy in that....

Consider that when photographers had to spend a hot day out in London, and some of them were traveling to Brighton today, it might have been impossible for them to find a couple hours to upload to Flickr within 24 hours, even if they didn't want to pick through them or make adjustments instead of posting them all raw! And it even takes time for the internet searchers like myself to find and upload these things.

Anyway, I don't think anyone's mentioned yet, our very own goodwood1511, who goes by a different name here that I can never remember, managed to upload a large set of 286 last night, which I didn't find until just now for some reason. There are some pretty great moments:

Thank you for the lovely comment, hope you all enjoy those pics I took

London was very hot, did tower hill was a case could see where the women were by all those with phones getting far too close to some

missed Lincoln's inn as got affected by the heat but was a great Waterloo bridge set

Brighton was hot to start pre start was a no-go as not allowed to shoot pics from outside the pen

weather got worse including rain but 20 feet away no rain crazy weather

this is the link to my Flickr albums, where you can find the gold within a lot of bad pics I took

You definitely are allowed to shoot snaps outside the painting area in Brighton. It's a public place. Anyone attempting to prevent you from going about your lawful business is committing a public order offence, something which was pointed out to the organisers by the police last year. Not that it stops them trying to make up their own rules. Glad I wasn't there this year. Will never do that one again unless new organisers with a less ridiculous attitude take over.

Well done for sticking it out. The London heat was something else, and organisation was nonexistent. People got lost all over the place as there was none of the usual slowing to allow tail enders to catch up. It was almost like a race. Waterloo Bridge would have been great if only the riders hadn't been both sides of the barrier.

I meant I already knew was not allowed to shoot the painting area from the outside, one of the organizers came over and commented I'm only the 2nd photographer who he met

About your other points I fully agree, for both rides were a shit show in regard to the running of the events

but the police escort in Brighton did help keep the group together as a rule

I noticed that several of the long time marshals were absent in London and the ride really suffered for it. I can't begin to imagine how difficult it is to bring eight starts together - you really do need those with experience to keep things on an even keel. London did have a great atmosphere, though. I just wish I'd had another year like 2022, when I seemed to be in the right place most of the time. Gutted to have missed the water fun. Thankfully, plenty of others got snaps and footage there.

Not sure why Nick Sayers gave up organising Brighton but the ride has nothing of the fun element it had back then. The new organisers spend most in the time in the Facebook group harping on about 'nuisance photographers' but what they're alluding to is primarily the mostly Asian males with smartphones and vid cameras who crowd in around (almost always) female participants. You always get the best shots by interacting with the riders. It's rare to encounter anyone who doesn't want to be snapped if you behave respectfully, as the vast majority of people with 'big zoom lenses' do.
