I'm a little unsure of what qualifies as a watermark. I've been skipping over posting images that have-
website addresses
signatures (ie, name of artist)
"copyright" or the symbol of same

but some images are from the covers of comics, or feature writing in Japanese taht I can't translate. What exactly qualifies as a watermark?

For our purposes, you are doing the right thing. Stay away from posting anything with another website's URl or copyright information.

What about images that are literally signed by the artist but have no copyright notice or website addy?

I just came over since the video forum got shut down. There are lots of great pictures in this thread, but it would be nice to know the story behind the denouement, rather than just see the snapshot of the most embarrassing second. I guess with anime we don't always know the story if we can't read Japanese, but I would wonder if it would be possible to post a series of photographs, rather than just the final stripping frame.
