'Most Likely to Skinny Dip' racy photo in New Mexico high school yearbook raises eyebrows

Students picked up the 2014 issues last week and in the area where student awards were given out there’s a category called “Most Likely to Skinny Dip.” The pair of students chosen for the award are depicted in a picture where they appear to be naked, posing behind a tree.

“They were trying to be cute, trying to be humorous to a certain extent and it didn’t go over well with a certain fraction who saw the yearbook,” said Portales High School Assistant Principal Garrick Matthews.

Matthews says the district has received numerous complaints about the photo. He says the yearbook staff of about 20 students got the skinny dipping idea off the internet and then picked the winners. The yearbook staff and a teacher were the only ones who saw it before it was published.

“The intent behind it was never to paint the students in a negative light or paint the school in a negative light.” Matthews said.

According to some students it did put the school in a bad light.

“It was inappropriate to be a part in a yearbook to be remembered forever.” Haman said.

Another student didn’t think much of the photos.

“It was kind of funny, but it doesn’t offend me.” Portales High School Senior Matthew Sanchez said.

The district said from now on another set of eyes will be viewing the yearbook before it’s published.

“I can’t change it, but I can tell people were gonna try that those sort of things don’t happen in the future.” said Matthews.

Woman Busted For Motorcycle Pleasure Session

Nude photo club strikes in Taipei Metro

Fans on the website praised the photos, which won a contest on the site for best nude photos taken in a public transportation venue.

The paper, which estimated that there are 100,000 nude photo shooting seekers in Taiwan, cited the group as saying its next targets for naked snaps include Taiwan's high-speed railway, airliners and classrooms where classes are actually in session.

According to police, shooting nude photos in public places is against the law, and people who expose their bodies in public or break good social norms can be fined up to NT$6,000.

Responding to the incident, Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) said Taipei Metro regulations stipulate that passengers who disrupt public order or "act in a manner that obviously appears to be harmful to others" can be asked to leave or be escorted away by police.

The corporation said that in this case, however, it did not receive any reports of a woman posing nude for photos on its trains or platforms.

One of the fans on the BeautyCLUB website interviewed by the paper described shooting nude photos in public places as being difficult because you have to repeatedly check the venue, avoid numerous surveillance cameras and patrolling police, and then ensure the safety of the nude models.

Active classrooms have been rated as the most challenging venues for shooting nude photos, and no member of the club has yet succeeded in taking such photos in such an environment.

BeautyCLUB is open to registered members only and only those who have contributed naked photos of themselves or their partners can gain access to the part of the website where pictures posted by others can be viewed.
