Pull your eyes downward and look at her feet. She's on the Hollywood Blvd.'s Walk of Fame in Hollywood, CA. Every day, you'll find costumed characters there who pose with tourist in exchange for a few bucks.

If the photo had looked in a different direction, Osreb probably would have thought there was a Spider-Man convention... or a Pirates of the Caribbean Convention... of a gold-plated Statue of Liberty convention... or... you get the idea.

Science Themed Strip Club Jabbu’s Hut to Open Near GA Tech


MIDTOWN ATLANTA — Hoping to capitalize on DragonCon’s attendance, the proprietor of a new gentlemen’s club, Jabbu’s Hut, has announced the club’s grand opening to coincide with the fantasy and science fiction themed convention on Labor Day weekend.

“Of course we’d prefer to call it Jabba’s Hut,” said Steve Scizz, owner. “But the lawyers would open us up like a Hoth tauntaun and crawl inside.”

Scizz says his club will feature more than just girls dressed up as slave Leias, although there will be plenty of those, even if he calls them “Slave Laylas.” He plans to have his girls costumed across the full spectrum of fantasy, science fiction, and actual science.

“Just imagine getting a lap dance from sexy Marie Curie — non radioactive and in the public domain — or one of those hot night elves like the ones in WOW. We’ll have it all,” said Scizz.

Jabbu’s Hut is currently seeking young women with cosplay experience. Apply in and then out of costume at the club’s location on Spring street.

I hate to burst your bubble, but it's not happening. This story first appeared last year before Dragon*Con, and I even know a few girls that wanted to work there. It was either a hoax that first appeared in a local paper, or they tried but never opened. too bad too, because I work near Georgia Tech and it would be a great place to stop after work.

There weren't that many Leia slave girl costumes at this year's Dragon*Con. there were some, but not as many as in years past. Here's the one I saw (along with Han and Lando), plus a very well done MystiQue and a front and back of something I'm not sure what it was, but there wasn't much to it...

I saw a trailer yesterday for the new Star Wars film. While I'm not HUGE Star Wars fan (I don't go to cons or dress up in slave girl or storm trooper attire) I do enjoy the movies and love the John Williams scores. I can only hope the new Abrams movies can match Lucas's work visually...and far exceed him in plot lines and dialogue. Lucas really lost whatever magic he once had in those prequels. It's time for a change and hopefully Abrams can deliver in a way that retains the spirit of the originals. All that said, this thread always makes me smile. It's fun to see these women play around in their costumes. The one thing Lucas really accomplished with his big screen version of Saturday morning space serials was to make an impact on our pop culture that will last forever. I wonder if George knows there's an amateur porn thread influenced by his movies? I can just see picture his wry smile. Anyway, thanks to all contributors who make this thread so much fun to look at.

As a fellow perv I have to wonder if in the new movies will have any gratuitous sexy costumes. Lets hope so haha!

Seriously though I hope for some amazing films. Star Wars is one of my favorites and I hope they can do it justice with these new ones. At least make them better than those last 3 although I did enjoy the 3rd one.
