I believe public nudity is still allowed during events like Bay to Breakers. But I wish we had an event like it here in the UK, the world nude bike rides are quite popular so some sort of fun run could work!

Incidentally you might be interested to look at the 'The Ladies of OCC' sub forum and if you find it appealing then I think you can get a free pass to the rest of the forum.

I don't actually think I have the originals, so it's nice to find them here... along with many others I hadn't seen before. I have sent them on to my mother. I'll check to see if I can find the originals of the pre party on an old computer, if I do I'll see if there are any you haven't posted and add them.

Mraeneas: Good point about my 'fella.' I guess I'm probably not looking in the right places ;) Although I personally think the pictures look better with the both of us, then I don't look like some random naked chick in a sea of clothed people...

Anyway, keep up the good work, thanks for reminding me that nudity can be celebrated tastefully!

Cool. Glad to see our admiration is taken in the spirit in which it was intended.

On the subject of B2B nudity, you are correct in guessing there is an exception for B2B. When the ordinance passed last year, it included an exemption for festivals where nudity was historically allowed: B2B, Folsom Street Festival, Pride, etc.

Nudity okay at Bay to Breakers

You had me confused, Klondike. Snowpeas was one of the girls all covered in red paint? Not what I was thinking. So I checked again, saw that the girl I pegged as snowpeas was easily identifiable as a redhead (her head hair!), was accompanied by a male friend as suggested in her posts, and — this was the big clue — was covered in Escher-esque lizards. Not that we need an excuse to see the two red girls again; they're always welcome.

Snowpeas, according to HuffPo, a nudity exception has been made for Bay-to-Breakers (and other events). Participants can be naked.

yes, Flanker7 already set me straight. I was a little "red-faced" over that..

and on the eve of BtoB 2013, i'm still thinking about Snowpeas and her remarks about how if it weren't for the naked men, the naked women would be much fewer and far between..

I guess thats because I usually assumed that its was the presence of other women that made them more comfortable about taking it off, not other men so much. But thats more the nude beach scene, i think.

So maybe this is why we never see any all girl sorority naked runs...

Maybe Snowpeas could explain to me why in recent years the Fremont ridership has been 60-65% women...:)
It does fascinate me, the idea of lots of women wanting to get naked in public without the presence of men or comparatively few men. Its pretty rare, but it DOES seem to happen more often when paint jobs and fashion statements are being made at the same time.

Anyway, time to close out another BtoB thread and open a new one. We'll see if the SF nudity ban got enough people angry enough to want to show up naked at BtoB just to protest. Here's your chance to express your views...

I'm guessing but I don't think she's anyone particularly well known because in most of the pictures she's just wandering along like everyone else. Probably a tv show happened to ask her to hold the mic for a while.
