Dumb question... how do you enlarge a .flv file? I have not been able to figure that out, because my complaint with .flv files is that the picture is usually so small.

.flv files have to be converted to increase the size, unless you have a player that has a Pan Zoom function. .flv files will not open in editing programs because, I assume, the encoding doesn't jive so you can't boogie :D

VLC Media Player
 

I use VLC Media Player. Freeware I believe. It lets you stretch the vid in playback to any size you want, play it in slow motion (or at any speed), and even has a handy snapshot (screen cap) function built into it. I highly suggest it.

As far I know, in order to edit them you have to use a coversion program first that makes them into an .avi or other format recongnized by editing programs. I have not found any free ones though.

allows you to convert .flv's to .mov files

Google SuperC. It converts virtually everything, and its free.
However, it does try to phone home, easily blocked by Zone Alarm.
