So one thing I can't explain is why the tribes who are nearly naked all the time never have inner labia visible. Is it just that ethnicities with, ya know, meaty lips just cover it up? Or they are selected against living in the Amazon or wherever?

I remember reading an English novel set in pre-World War One Africa when Namibia was known as German Southwest Africa. A British white hunter is traveling through the region and is invited to stay with one of the German colonists. He is surprised to find that the dining room staff are all naked African women and is told that there are made to work in the nude to make it harder for them to steal silverware.

Do you remember the title of the book?

There is a non-fiction book, possibly called The Naked Naga, about a British colonial family in the Naga hills along the India-Burma border in the 19th century. The British officer had a large house and local staff. The staff were mostly Naga tribesmen working for the Raj and the wife was acclaimed by her peers for hosting tea parties where the male staff served the English ladies in the nude. Tit or tat, perhaps.
