You don't use a site. You use a browser extension. Downloadhelper is the go-to, but there are others.

I've been getting a huge QR code when I try downloading the video. Anyone else notice this issue?

That'd be Willamette University (Salem OR), and despite it showing up on reverse-image at a sandfly site, I suspect it might be originally a Klondike (or possibly nakedhippie, who as I recall also got it one year), and if so, gone from OCC in the purge of the first iteration of this thread's theme...

Worked fine for me with Flash Video Downloader; I know at least one of the others gives you the QR if you only have the free version of it...

Yes, I forgot DLHelper does that. I think it's only on 1080 videos where that shows up, but obviously that's not ideal. I had forgotten that, as Crispus points out, Flash Video Downloader does a better job without the QR code. It's good to have DLHelper installed as well though because it has added functionality like recording live streaming video and a screen recorder. And sometimes one app can't download certain video files, whereas the other can.
