Even as a pro photographer, I would not call photo manipulation ART. Photographs can be artistic yes but I believe that the OP means paintings & drawings, etchings etc not photography.

WOW now that is opening a whole can of worms - Is photography art? Grayson Perry in this year's Reith Lectures seems to think not - I'm not so sure. What about the photographs of Man Ray?

Artist Uses Multiple Exposures on Polaroid Film

1 Attachment(s)
Excerpt from the article which has several more photos

As photography has shifted from film to digital, the rise of trigger-happy shutterbugs subscribing to quantity over quality has made the art of photography and its need for slowing things down seem almost archaic.

Photographer Jeff Enlow, also a news photo editor, often combs through thousands of images daily for his job. Although he enjoys the work, he said the abundance of images he sees also reminds him of the impermanence of images, frequently never seen and stored away on an endless pile of hard drives.

Enlow decided to significantly slow things down with his own work and started a project of multiple-exposure nudes taken on 4-by-5 Polaroid film. The project, titled “Parallelograms,” aims to bridge the gap between photography and painting, Enlow said.

The female genitalia have long been a source of fascination, recently of celebration but generally of confusion.

Current thinking is that the creation of images of different types of vulvas, is the preserve of pornographers, erotic artists and feminists, but British artist Jamie McCartney, he created a monumental sculpture, on the most intimate of places 400 women understood his message and volunteered to participate in this artwork.

McCartney hopes this sculpture, relieve that anxiety and help fight the trend of lip cosmetic surgery has seen an exponential increase in recent years, the number of operations is doubling year on year and are often made without proper knowledge of what constitutes a "normal vulva" in appearance

Naked Body Rorschach Test

1 Attachment(s)
Excerpt

When French photographer Olivier Valsecchi won the Hasselblad Masters Award in 2012, he was asked by the camera-maker to create a new set of photos that represented one word: "evoke." The result of that abstract brief is Klecksography, a photographic reimagining of the inkblot test.

Popularized by the Swiss psychologist Hermann Rorschach, inkblot tests (also known as "Rorschach tests") require people to find form in abstract patterns. The way patients go about interpreting the inkblots is analyzed by a psychologist in order to diagnose mental disorders. Widely used in the second half of the 20th century, Rorschach tests are still studied and utilized in some fields of psychology today.
