Well quite a sad news, this year Пустые Холмы (Empty hills festival) will not take place.
The festival dates are usually around now (mid-june) and I just read the news on the official website : http://www.holmi.ru/ Google translation "2012: The Festival will not be 13th November 2011 at a meeting of festival organizers decided not to hold a summer open-air PX-2012. One of the main reasons for the decision was our desire to rethink the purpose of the festival, to develop a new concept of HRP, enhance its cultural and aesthetic level. We want the future to make beautiful, interesting, magical, powerful and high-quality festival. And for this we need time. During 2012 we plan to hold a series of events (club concerts, performances, etc.) to support holmovskih musicians to promote quality music unformatted of volunteers HRP and the rest of the world's population. Watch for announcements on the site!" Let's hope indeed they'll organize similar events during summer and off course I hope it'll be a 2013 edition! Enjoy those few pics of 2011. |
