I posted a story before about how I got a surprise when I dropped in some 10 year old film to be developed and found some pics of a weekend in a hotel. It's amazing how long film survives so it's always worth trying it. The colour shifts a little but you can get usable results.

I still send off digital photos for prints to one of the big postal services and occasionally include a few naked ones.
My wife doesn't seem to mind because of the anonymity of it and it means there are a few more naked pics lying around. It's good to see some of these in print again if they are old scan and they are often much better than the original print.

Those were the days!

Back in the 70's, I used to own my own darkroom and often someone would come in requesting that I process a personal roll of film. Whenever they would say, "Its an old roll I found lying around", it was like code words for me. It meant, "Keep a close eye out for these results!" I was rewarded quite often!

*Note: Although I usually only did hands-on custom work, some people occasionally brought personal rolls of film to me if they were afraid that the big "chain" developer stores would refuse to give them service or when they just needed discretion. That was always rewarding! :D

film to digital, early days

No real story here.
.... In the early days of digital pics, there was a brief period of desktop computers becoming popular, but no personal digital cameras. Early 90's??
There was one company, was it "Seattle Film"??? where you could send your film, and they'd send the pics back on a floppy disk with or without prints.

I used them a lot. Some pics very, very racy, never a problem. Obviously since an entire roll of pics was put on one (or a couple?) floppy disks, the resolution sucked immensely compared to today's digital pics.

I said "never a problem" But like any other film processing facility, who knows who's got those pics today.

Reading this thread, I wonder if the guy at the local mall has ever kept pictures of one of my ex-girlfriend!

Back in 2004ish, I was dating a girl, Chloe, we we're both the first serious relationship for each other. For our first year anniversary together, she asked one of our mutual friends who was into (film) photography (as a beginner level) to take some sexy pictures of her in lingerie. Sadly I never got the full original roll, just paper copies in a small handmade book, but now I wonder of some store clerk got luckier than me!

Im sure everyone in that store got an eyeful :P Yes your wife is a good looking woman, but I can imagine the shock you felt seeing her unveiled so casually in all her glory with everyone watching and assessing her. Way hot! I had a similar experience in a photo lab/shop but only with pictures laid out on the counter allowing other customers to see. I know how my hands were shaking with excitement seeing them looking at them laying there. Thank you for posting your story and being so generous sharing the image of her with us too

I really enjoyed sharing the experience.
I do have a few more stories about getting her photos developed etc, but I have MANY more about showing her pics to strangers, friends and relatives, but I guess that should be a new thread if anyone is interested :)

During the mid 90's I used Target to develop and print "lame" nudes. The envelope always had a "Thank You" stamped on the outside.
One time I had them develop a roll I took at the "Nudes-A-Poppin".
The envelope had "Thank You" stamped on it 7 times..
LOL

Many years ago in high school I had a part time job at a photo finishing company. This was well before digital. You would take your film to local drug stores, dept stores etc. I worked for a company that did all these stores processing. Anyway, we would get in many many nudes, topless etc. - photos to be processed. Some of it couldn't be processed or sold as it was concidered pornographic. However you didn't know what you had until reviewing the prints for color adjustment , rejects etc. So there was a "wall of fame" where many ended up. I remember it was the first time I saw a woman masterbating with a pop bottle. It was mostly pretty tame stuff compared to today, but back then it was brain rattling stuff.

Younger wife.

When we were in our twenties I sent some film off to be developed. I had just recently shaved her pussy. I took one of her in doggie position from behind. I got a threatening letter back about photographing underage girls. I never got the negatives back either.

Like most people now we shoot using digital cameras now. But back when we used film I found waiting for photos to come back took way to long. One evening I took a roll of film of my wife Tracy the photos stated with her in underwear and ended with her running her fingers through her pussy showing every thing. A selection of the photos is below.

I wanted to get these photos processed as quickly as I could I had seen a one hour place in a town close to home now the down side of this was that the shop had a big window on to a busy shopping street as photos were processed they could be seen clearly from the street during the drying process. Despite this I decided to take my film in and handed it over to the assistant. I was told the photos would be ready in about an hour. I went out and sat with a drink on a bench across from the shop and waited. I kept looking up to see if I could see any of my photos and then I saw the first one Tracy in her underwear. I noticed a few guys and women stopped to look as the photos went round some women pulled their men away some watched the whole set come past the window.

I waited for a while after the whole set had gone past then went into the shop to pick up my photos. I twas such a turn on knowing that so many people had seen them. I told Tracy when I got home and she told me off for not taking her with me LOL.

great story and pics. Would love to see the all!

In the '70's I worked in a camera shop.
When customers told us their film contained shots that were interesting, personal, private, nude, glamour etc. we would pop it in the processing envelope and give the customer their claim tag. Once out of the shop we would put it in another envelope and order 2 sets of prints instead of one. Then when our envelope came back we would take one set and put it in the original envelope and add our set to our collection. We had well over 500 pics.

One day though we got two envelopes mixed up and a customer came back and complained that the glamour pics in his envelope weren't the nude shots of his wife that he had taken!!!! The person who had got the nude shots of his wife never returned to complain.

We got a description of his wife and asked him to come back in a couple of days. We gave him '"our" copies of the prints and a free film to compensate for the loss of the negatives.

You can only wonder what the customer who got the wrong nudes thought!!
