An interesting subject that fits the theme of this thread; television reshoots. In the days before pixilation, filmmakers often shot two versions of a nude scene, one for the theatrical release (nude), and another for TV (usually bra and panties). Films that I know have two versions are; Carrie (the locker room/shower scene), Animal House (the ladder scene-and possibly a few other scenes), and Used Cars (Cheryl Rixon's commercial). I think Stripes may have had some reshot scenes, as well. Does anyone know of any other films with alternate versions of nude scenes, or better yet, have the clips?

In movies there's a lot of that. Tinto Brass is a pretty good example with the normal versions being soft and the 'director's cut' including harder, or more explicit scenes. Most of that was done with editing, however. Music videos are also a great example with a soft version being shot for USA TV and a version with nudity being done for other parts of the world.

Did you see showgirls when it played on cable in the uSA (TBS I think)?

They actually went through the trouble to digitally paint outfits on to the dancers!

Never saw it, but it make me chuckle. Only in America! Just like the early show in Vegas with 'covered' performers, then an 'adult' show later with nudity.

You'll notice most of my clips come from TV in other countries. They allowed more fun.
