IIRC, there are two sources for that Alanis Morrisette stuff. One is the music video for the song "Thank U" and the other is some behind-the-scenes scripted show where she goes off onto a balcony & pees into a cup.

Although it doesn't show anything explicit, the pee video is reportedly genuine. However, the footage & whatnot from the music video, she did a Blink 182 ("What's My Age Again") and wore a flesh-colored bodysuit for the video, then in post-production it was blurred out to obscure the fact that she was wearing a bodysuit.

Reportedly, she's said afterward that she was willing to actually be filmed nude for the video, provided the video crew shooting her also went nude for the duration of the shoot. Not like it would have made a difference if she had though, seeing as it was shot at night (and has those pesky shadows to deal with), not to mention that bodysuit or not, with the blurring added in post, we wouldn't have seen anything interesting anyways.

Anyways, yeah. Alanis nude where we could actually see stuff would have been awesome. But, much like her appearances in Weeds, it was all a disappointment.

Was she wearing a bodysuit in the scene on the train? In some of the stills, it looks like you can see the top edge of her pubic hair (it could be a modesty patch, but it's dark colored. Possibly a shadow).

Not the world's biggest Alanis fan by a long shot, but as far as I know, the only actual nudity involved with that video shoot is the conditional nudity I mentioned earlier. I would bank on it being either a shadow or intentional post-production tricks to sell the illusion that she was really naked.
