I haven’t been there in some years. It doesn’t have a textile section, the whole place is nude but a robe is required for the restaurant (as usual). The locker room is mixed. It has a wide choice of indoor and outdoor saunas and pools. If you go on a Sunday afternoon, or in the evening during the week, you’re likely to get a good mix of guests.

Please note that they don’t seem to accept credit cards, only German debit cards or cash.

I don’t know about “walking around” naked there. People normally take off their clothes, are briefly naked, and then they put on a robe or a towell. Some women prefer to strip to their underwear, put on a robe, and then remove their underwear. That makes little sense to me since they will be naked in the saunas and pools, but I have often seen women doing that.

Usually people just change and stay in one place. Although I have seen woman brushing their hair and applying lotion infront of the mirror completly naked walking back and forth to their locker.

The dressing room is usually a small intimate space so great if you have exhibitionistic tendencies.

I have not seen any entries discussing spas/saunas in Portugal. Does anyone know if hotel spas/saunas in that country are swimsuit required, topless required, or clothing optional? If you have specifics, I would love some hotel recommendations in Porto, and in the Algarve that requires my wife to be at least topless, ideally nude (like Germany for example) when using the wellness facilities.

My wife is shy and modest, but I have found that she will "do as the Romans do" and go nude in places where that is a requirement. For that reason, I try to plan our holidays in countries/areas where nude bathing is a requirement. :)

Germany is pretty big, you might want to specify the region/city you are staying at.

Well, every five star hotel in Berlin/Munich/Hamburg basically has nude spas/sauna areas, but the nudity depends on the guest. Sure there will be guests who will be totally nude and there will be those who will be covered up with a towel. I was in Grand Hyatt in Berlin and in Intercontinental Berlin and they are both nude. In Munich its the same story. In Hamburg there was an amazing spa in the Sofitel but that closed...

You're way better off going to a sauna centre in the city than in a hotel spa.

I will say this though, hotel spas can have like 5 - 10 guests in a sauna so I guess it's easier to meet someone there, but in terms of nudity its waaay less and waaay more boring.

When I'm in Germany and stay in a nice hotel, I only use the sauna after the gym for half an hour, the bigger spas are much better for voyeurism/flirting.

youre welcome. Well if money is no object do both Munich and Berlin, or Berlin and Hamburg.

Just remembered that the "best" hotel in Berlin has a separate sauna area for male and female, so Adlon is not your choice. Ofc Munich hotels are also more expensive I would try Westin Grand Munich there, its not in the centre but waaay cheaper and has a nude sauna area.

Also important - the nude part of the spa is only the sauna area, the pools at hotels are always bathing suit mandatory. In therme they are all nude. so keep that in mind.

This is the same as me. I'm all about people seeing my wife naked, and I think she'll be into it too. She hasn't fully committed to the nude spa yet but hasn't said no which I think means she is being coy. I think we will try a bigger spa in the city centre than the hotel spa but we might try and hotel one afterwards to see what it is like too.

With wellness resorts/hotel spas it takes some deeper planning. Check out the individual websites and locations on google

- Do they have clothing optional days?
- Is the entire resort naked or just the saunas?
- Is it a modern hip place? This will influence the crowd.
- Is it more expensive on specific times?
- etc..

Recent sauna experience in the Netherlands
 

I haven't been here for a while but I took note of some of my/our recent spa visits. It helps that the Mrs also likes to "look around" and on our drives back home she often brings up looks or bodies of other women.

We went to the sauna last weekend so let me start by the most recent experience. It is a relatively small time sauna, which actually is one of our favorites. It was an all day event for us, and we arrived right at the time they opened. Even before the door opened, there were 2 female couples (well, girlfriends, not lesbian I assume) waiting to get in. I've been experienced in the Dutch sauna's here in the Netherlands, but are they really more naked here (NL) compared to Germany? I've only been to a German sauna once I think, but it was fully nude there too. :-)

I spent the day at Vabali with my wife yesterday. We went based on recommendations from here and it did not disappoint. For those who have never been, Vabali is a Bali themed spa in downtown Berlin.
