John William Godward - late 19th early 20th century British neo-classical in style - acceptable nudity for the British middle classes. I like the see through dresses. The last picture was done in 1922 the year he committed suicide.

A little British interlude - Carrie was a cartoon strip in Mayfair - one of the better British skin mags of the 1970s onwards - Carrie first started in 1972 drawn by Don Lawrence - here are some from the 3 main artists of the girls who always seemed to loose her clothes
