Proportional Guide to the Figure...?

This is totally my favorite topic on the web, and many thanks for all of the contributions on OCC related to photographs of nude female life models, especially virtualclass008, osreb, and ocmachado--I hope they keep posting more. I intend to post more as I go through all of my old files as i get the time.

In the mean time, here are a few screen grabs from a vid preview of "Proportional Guide to the Figure with George Davis", which unfortunately is censored (but fortunately not very well, more about that below).

Back story: There are both, a video and book with the above title, here is the description:
"This is the video version of the book authored by professional sculptor and teacher, George Davis. The video shows nude male and female figures with graphic overlays that demonstrate measurements and proportions from head to toe. Using calipers and a live model, Mr. Davis explains the relational proportions of the human body, both male and female, to bring out the differences. Detailed angles and graphic overlays clearly identify and measure body parts."

At any rate, I am curious if anyone else has come across the book or video and (if so) would post in the appropriate forum section (probably the Rapidshare section)...

The screen captures below come from the short video preview and shows a censored portion of the full video of the live nude female model (censored breasts). In the youtube version, there are a few censoring mistakes which I posted below, including a total miss, as well as a semi transparent censor bar (which I photoshopped for brightness to reveal the model's nipples. The last image is the book cover showing the nude female model from behind.

Figured I would ask this community to see if anyone knows more are has any of the book pics/vid.

Is the following a bullshit story?

Some time ago I read about both male and female college kids back in the '60s being coerced into posing nude privately for their professor as a "requirement" for art classes, and it went on for years. Undoubtedly a very liberal college. If I recall, all the photos were to be kept private, and the poses were basic shots, standing up, arms at sides, frontal, rear and side shots. Also, there was some lame logic given as to why they were required, but that part escapes me.
That stack of photos would be some find!

Does anyone recall hearing about anything like this? Or, just a BS story?

It's not BS, but not exactly as you heard it. I remember it was at Yale, and the students were photographed as part of a study on body types and for possible diseases. Let me google something momentarily...

Aha. Google William Herbert Sheldon. It involved several Ivy League / Seven Sisters
schools. Makes sense; the rumor I heard said Hillary Clinton had posed, or had been there at the time the photos were taken.

Thanks for all that! Yes, I'm sure that's what I was referring to.
Considering my for-shit memory, I was fairly close! LOL.
Per your suggestion I followed a few "William Herbert Sheldon" links......... very interesting.
