One thing that has changed it that the magazine is less "glam" than it used to be with a lower proportion of model photos and a higher number of pictures of "genuine" naturists. This has been the case for a good while now, probably in an effort to shake of the criticisms of groups like BN who accused it (with good reason) of appealing deliberately to non-naturists who just wanted to see pictures of tits and fannies. The H&E of the present day is a very different magazine tho the H&E of the 1980s and early 1990s. Strangely, the era when it was at it's most sexually suggestive was when it was being edited by women, notably Kate Sturdy. Apart from the photo of her earlier in this thread, I don't think I've seen any pictures of her in the magazine, in contrast to Diana Roseman/JH-S, Helen Ludbrook or Sam Hawcroft, all of whom have appeared a number of times. |

H&E censored?
6 Attachment(s)
I've got hold of the October 2016 issue of H&E and unfortunately it does look like they are censoring. As you can see, tits and fannies get blurred but bums are kept uncensored. I know helloitsyou mentioned that they've stopped censoring for a couple of years now - I wonder if this is just for the electronic version?

AANR Nude U Pics?
1 Attachment(s)
Maybe 10-15 years ago, I saw a great photo spread about AANR's "Nude University" that featured a few pics of the college-aged counselors.
A couple of the shots were really hot, they were standing in front of a hand-painted AANR sign, if I recall. Anyone ever seen that photospread? It would be in a magazine sold at a place like Barnes and Noble, perhaps TAN, Naturist, or a title long those lines. Here's one pic, but there were others in the featured article that were very good...I've never been able to find them since. |

I remember the transition from airbrushing to the appearance under Leslie Bainbridge's editorship to first showing the shaved vulva. That was in the early 70's from what I saw in older magazines. But the proportion of models was much greater then and ordinary nudists rare. Censorship would undo years of progress made. |
