"Unfortunately, somebody complained in the park as we were getting ready (though even then there wasn't anybody bottomless), so I guess the cops had to do something. Until that they were cool with it, and were great throughout the ride. But it is a shame that they didn't have the balls to say "It's a peaceful protest, so deal with it."
Amusingly, we stumbled upon a Yemeni protest at the Centennial Flame. The speaker promptly made up games to distract the children from looking at us. I thought it was pretty satisfying."
That's too bad that someone complained to force the cops hand. I understand having to step in when public nudity gets lewd but my past experiences with the WNBR is that they've always been tasteful and for a purpose. It's too bad the cops were forced to warn everyone in Ottawa not to get to NUDE!
Also funny? Your point about their being a Yemen protest in Ottawa! I went downtown Toronto to try and get photos of the WNBR but also came across a Yemen protest! LOL
