Ah yes, the IPARBEC. The words conjure up so many images and questions. What does pansexual mean? How is it that this is an "educational" conference. Are there keynote speakers? Darn, and I thought i knew a lot about public nudity events. But this one has totally thrown me for a "loop" (probably "rope bondage-speak", but perhaps I need to attend an event to find out for sure?). And finally, as this is the "premier" event, that implies that there must be many more "annual pansexual rope bondage educational conferences" out there. So how have I missed out on this all these years? Time to whip me into shape then, I guess, guys. Just go easy on me - those rope burns can get infected pretty easily..

As I am always curious to expand my horizons, I had to look "pansexual" up. It seems that it is related to bisexual, but those that identify themselves as "pansexual" see "bisexual" as too limiting a term. I guess its because "bisexual" implies the existance of two and ONLY two genders: male and female. Pansexual, on the otherhand, wishes to erase whats refered to as the "gender binary" (also a new term to me) or notion that there are only two sexes. So if you identify yourself as "pansexual", that means you are attracted not only to men and women, but also anything in between or anything that falls outside of those oh so limiting categories (please, no pics, guys....)

At first, I thought that pansexual might refer to someone that is also attracted to cats, dogs, mules and ostriches.
But no, beastiality does not come into play here.

So there you have it. Now, forgive me for feeling as though this all sounds a bit snobbish. I mean really, if you have experienced the love of a man, and also the love of a woman, is experiencing something that is in between those two REALLY going to be like a new taste sensation? I mean, I like Cran-apple juice, for example, but it doesn't beat either pure cranberry juice, or pure apple juice, IMHO.

( I saw that one time on the Jerry springer Show - - ewwwwwww ......

Now I know that it is when they have sex when covered in Cranberry Juice ( wow ! - - - strange ; but ,
whatever floats your boat ) .....

Pedalpalooza is Portland, Oregon's yearly feast for bicyclists. Lasting over 2 weeks in June, hundreds of events are planned, and increasingly, nakedness may be found here and there if you look hard enough. This year there are several events to keep and eye on, and one should not totally ignore any planned bike ride, particularly if it takes place at night and involves costumes. Portland's nightime WNBR - This year the Portland nighttime WNBR has been set back a week so that it is now the same day as the Fremont Solstice Parade, June 19th. Bummer. And since they also moved the start time up from 12PM to 9PM, that means the nudes ride only a scant 6 hours after the conclusion of the Solstice Parade. I am curious about the time move because that will put the cyclists on the street when presumably there will be more, not less, cars and spectators. But perhaps they are just trying to get everyone home at a decent hour. I don't know. But expect upwards to 5,000 riders again.

The sunny naked WNBR rides: Whoopie! Portland has added a sunny naked WNBR ride! There are now going to be two, one on June 12th and again on the 19th. They will both start around 2PM but from different locations.

Fig Leaf naked 5K ride: Held on the evening of June 19th, this ride is held in Forest Park and is difficult to get to and cover. I have no knowledge of attendance and have never seen any pics.

Bike Porn: Bike Porn will be in town during Pedalpalooza, and will put on performances throughout the 2 week period. "Bike Porn" is a troupe that travels around the west delivering a message that mixes sex and bike culture through videos and performances of some type of which I am not very familiar. Worth looking into because some live nudity may accompany this.

Panty Ride, Girly Ride, etc: There are other bike rides during Pedalpalooza, and some have interesting sounding names. In the past, there have been hints of nudity associated with these lesser rides. Check the schedule. The panty ride is for, you guessed it, wearing your finest panties....

Joustedown: Joustedown is an event held in the daytime which has seen some nudity, although possibly this was all associated with the daytime WNBR that terminated there one year. Not totally sure, but some naked men have been seen in photos jousting.
