oK guy's, here the deal,

Myself and drifta have come to the conclusion that as awesome as "OCC" is, the board could improve greater still if all you "newbies" guy's out there submitted your gear aswell. So as a result we will offer preview pic's to our set's, and if as a result even one "newbie" submit's atleast one or two quality pic's to "OCC" we will post the whole set.

We are not asking for blood here guy's just a bit of "give & take"

My only goal here is to make the best board on the net even better , any regular poster's feel free to join in.

How about a special database that houses all amateur pics found by members. However, the only way to get access is through posting. It's kinda against the whole beautiful free-for-all aura that this board encompases, but it's not like people have to pay for it... they just need contribute.

I'm all for the lurkers, but at the same time I understand how things work. Keep everything as it is, but after you've contributed and posted your share you get access to all the amateur crap you could ever dream of.. all in one location!

Just my opinion.



(Theres 190 people online here right now, 444 being the largest group at once. Yet there's just 10-12 post an hour or so. Imagine the forum if just 2-3% more would contribute! Again, power to the lurker, but if you can contribute, go for it!)

aNother great idea "ackrnin" thanks for your input, with regard to a member's database that's in the hand's of the "admin" "(alex). Whichever method work's best I don't really care, as long as (OCC) benefit's in the long run, as a result of all the new poster's

I'm all in favor of encouraging new members to post more. Once people make their first post and realize how easy it is, they seem to keep sharing more. This is a very supportive enviroment we have here. Even if you only have one good photo to post, do it, thats enough.

On the other hand, nobody can force people to post & we don't want people to do it because they feel like they have to. Our members should post because they want to. The fact is, a lot of people might not have anything stored on their hard drives to post. Some people just like to browse without actually collecting porn like others do. If you aren't going to post, you can still help support OCC by simply supporting our sponsors.

We don't want to breed an attitude of "us" versus "them", people who post and those who haven't posted yet. Please be careful with words like "lurker" or "newbie". Depending on the context it can sometimes sound cruel. There's nothing wrong with being new to the forum or new to posting on the web. We all start that way at one time.

Perhaps in the future we will add more incentives to post. As for now, our members who post will just have to bask in the glory of their fellow members appreciation.

Just remember, in the end there will be no rewards for those who don't contribute. So why not make that first post today?

If there were rules that started being inforced then the whole concept of the OCC would crumble. I'm not saying everyone should just lu..(oops) look and not contribute, but would'nt this be a form of coercion. (forcing) people to do what we deam to be the right thing to do. And another thing if a person is truly only going to lu..(oops theres that L word again) look then all they would have to do is sit and wait for someone else to post on the ongoing thread, then they could still get what tehy were getting in the first place. One thing I have noticed in the several months I've been here is there ( although slow at times) is deffinatly no shortage of pics or vids. I myself like to post, but I run into several problems. 1) I used to be on dinasour dial up, and only have had DSL for past 2-3 weeks. What a b*tch it was posting using dial up. 2) Although I do have DSL now my PC is shit and I have had to do complete system restores (yes that is plural) cuz I've done 3 or 4 in the past 3 months, so I have to continuosly go and find new shit to replace what was lost. 3) My Yahoo account that I've had for the past 3 years with over 180 groups has as of Thursday been freakin locked and I cant get access to my groups. This I am still trying to find a solution to, but in the mean time I have no where to get pics. Even with these difficulties I have tried posting when time permited, but maybe some can't for some of the reasons I discribed. I am not saying people shouldn't post BECAUSE they should and it is also not to say I don't post cuz when I do I like it to be bigggggggg posts like I like the Lips nice and big. Also if we lived in a society where everyone did exactly what they were supposed to do then we would just be a bunch of drones. Well I hope this does not offend anyone as that is not my intention, it's just my 2 cents worth and in todays econmy it's worth just about a 1/2 a cent now.

I don't know. I think it's so much new content now that i'm afraid that people soon will give up and not follow the threads. I'm doing my best to follow what is happening on the board but it's not easy. I'm only checking the posts in the amateur pic part randomly right now. A poster that don't know what is going on is not doing a good job.

I'd love to post stuff and fills for those that have posted but I find myself running into a brick wall when the file size is limited to 300k. Most of my good pics are anywhere between 600-900k each.

Kinda hard to keep up as it is, from time to time, and plenty of reposts on everything from page 2 and beyond.

All too many boards have gotten into the "VIP-members only"-trend, which I do not approve of what so ever.

I try to make a useful contribution every now and then. The whole point beeing to share for everyone to see. However, I do not keep a very large collection on my PC.

You do not have my vote on this one, guys. OCC is somewhat unique, in that everyone is equal (cliché, I know, but still...) Let's keep it that way, is my humble wish.

First off, I'd like to proudly say I'm a lurker! Lurker isn't really a bad word, it's just a definition of a person who 'lurks' around. How many people in a store really buy stuff? Most of them just lurk and look. Now 'newbie', this is a word that I find can hurt peoples feelings. I'm especially offended by dudes who call people newbies without realising that they were once newbies themselves.
Back to topic....

My 'database' idea isn't designed to create an 'us' vs 'them' kind of environment, although I do now see that the possibilities do exist if things were to get out of hand. Instead I wish for it to be a tool to encourage people to post.

Say some guy wants to find more pics of a series. Allow him to place a request with a single image. Then others (hopefully some 'newbies' ) who have access to the database can easily find some fills for the person, and be able to promptly reply to him. Hopefully the poster will thank the guy for his efforts, and in the end you've got the guy to post not once, but twice. From there he is hopefully encouraged to do the same when someone else comes along looking to find some fills.

The database will be open to all, but only people who post know where it is. This encourages others to post, even if it's just to ask where/how to get access to the database. From my experience, once a person has made a post it's hard to stop! They've broken that 'barrier', and after seeing the welcoming comments they are more comfortable in posting. Only when they are faced with criticisim/negative comments do they refrain from posting.

So, with that I shall end my rant and stop saying 'Hopefully'. lol

There have been tons of ideas in this thread and everyone of them have there ups and downs, yes OCC is great because its 100% free lurk all you want and you still get all the pics that is why there is over 17,000 members. What I have seen work on a few forums is having the VIP section forum where you only get access after so many posts, everything else is free and the same as before just the VIP sectoin has better selection usually larger files allowed etc. But with that comes more bandwidth if you are going to start allowing larger files and yes that 300k limit on pictures is a set back for most digi set's because a lot are high quality but that is where you have to just resize them which sucks for me becuase my comp I have to use now is old as shit but I still find time to do it (sometimes hehe) usually just end up saving em and postin other sets. If what energy and I were talking about is decided to be done it does not mean that I will stop posting I am going to continue to post as much as I can I would just save some of my larger or better sets for that thread. Whatever is decided upon to be done I will still love this site and post either way it was just an idea to try and get some more people to post.

On the newbie section I agree I do not belive in calling people newbs, like over at wbw they talk so much shit to newbs that just ask simple question's its amazing people even want to talk. OCC is great because of all the threads I have ready maybe 1% of them have had negative comments in them which I know negative comments are very frustrating and some people take them very personal. And that in turn makes them not want to post.

If this does not make much sense or was pointless just forget about it sometimes I just start typing and rambling on aobut nothing so ya sorry to make you read all this if it was just lame have a nice day and enjoy....
