Is it possible to create realistic nudes from clothed pictures with ai? Can ai use clues from photographs (pokies, etc) to remove clothing?

No. Humans are more intelligent than computers, and can't do that.
I love wathching ladies getting undressed at nude beaches, and it is always a big surprise.

I’m thinking more of when you have a picture that is somewhat revealing. I have a photo of someone in a black swimsuit, and if I play around with photoshop enough I can see an outline of a nipple. Seems like an ai program could fill that in in a realistic way.
Plus I would think an could find clues that a human would miss because they crunch so much data. Everybody knows that if a girl has thick eyebrows she has a thick bush. There may be connection between visible features and hidden features an ai program picks up just by being able to examine an internets worth of photos

I’ve actually found it to be very exciting to upload clothed photos of my wife and ex to a couple of the free deep fake ai websites that are online. Obviously I have seen both of them nude. It’s exciting to cum to the ai nude versions of them and to compare the real with the computer generated versions.

I'd love to help you out, I've been playing about with some apps and sites and getting not to bad a result. If you want you could send me the picture and I'll see what I can do, also let me know what you think it's going to be like underneath and I can add that into the prompt

It is very possible using other photos and layers in Photoshop. I've done many, just for fun of course..... bottom line....you can't tell. Send me a PM and I'd be happy to help you out.
