ClipConverter Age Restricted?????

I've been using clipconverter for a while but have noticed recently that on some videos, I get an error message saying "this video is age resctricted"
How can I get around this? Up until a month or two ago, I had never received this error message.
It seems to only do it on youtub vids that you have to sign in for.

You should just be able to change the URL, as outlined below.

Taken from The Easiest Tricks for Bypassing YouTube's Annoying Age Restrictions on NSFW Videos.

Method #1: Staying on YouTube

If you want to stay on the official YouTube site, you can just remove the 'watch?' in the URL and replace the '=' sign with a '/'. For example:

youtube.com/watch?v=1223445

...becomes...

youtube.com/v/1223445

This bypasses the restriction and lets you go straight to watching the video without the age confirmation.

Method #2: Going Off YouTube

If you don't mind being redirected to a different site, you can instead add "nsfw" in front of YouTube in the URL.

youtube.com/watch?v=1223445

...becomes...

nsfwyoutube.com/watch?v=1223445

This takes you to a site dedicated, as the name suggests, to letting you watch YouTube's NSFW side to your heart's content.

Well Ratz! I just tried it out. It works great for viewing the age restricted videos on youtube, but I can do that by just signing into youtube. When I try the same approach on clip converter I still get the message This video is age restricted!
Any thoughts? I kinda like clipconverter because I can choose the highest resolution when downloading.

That's annoying. You'd have thought that if a video was able to be watched without restriction (through the methods previously discussed) then there wouldn't be a problem downloading said video. I tried the same things just in case it was something up with your side of things and had the same problem so it's not just you.

So it seems if you don't mind making an account you can download restricted videos without any further issues. With that said, I attempted to make an account and received no confirmation email and was told I had an invalid email or password when trying to log in, while at the same time being told my email address was already in use when I tried registering again. I was able to login with Facebook but it didn't affect the restrictions...

The last post on the ClipConverter.cc Facebook page is from 20th September 2012. Is it possible they're just no longer in business, at least as far as maintaining the site is concerned - beyond just keeping it up?

Its to bad because I really liked the quality of clipconverted vids from yutube. Oh well. Any other, as good converters out there that let you choose the quality of video (if available)?

Not really up on my video downloaders/converters but KeepVid seems to be popular, though it only seems to have two quality settings (low and high) so I'm not sure if it would let you choose the quality available on the video online. Hopefully someone else here knows more about it/can recommend some others.
