To play movies with the .MOV extension you need to use Quicktime player. There's a link on our support page.

I really don't know why you are having trouble with .WMV clips. Those should play best with Windows Media player. What happens when you save the video to your hard drive and play it from there?

Thanks,

Default what to do

open up media player, click tools , option's and then file types. Then select all and save.
If this dosent work. then i think it's a codec problem.
see this post for codec help.

I just registered last night and everything worked fine. Today I came back to check out some more videos and the same .wmv's I was watching last night give me this error now:

Quote:
Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.
Anyway, this is strange not only because it was working one day and now it is not, but also because if I save the file to my hard drive and then play it through Windows Media Player it works fine. Obviously this can't be a codec problem, can it? Also the problem is only with .wmv's, .avi and .mpg work just fine and seems to be isolated with this message board. I tried opening some .wmv's from other sites and they work just fine.

If nothing else, this is quite strange.
