However, my points have not been that sex should be openly encouraged at the beach in front of minors and the potentially offended, it is the running hypocrisy that nudity is natural but sex is not. This is not unusual. Sexual repression is a hallmark of civilized society, and not without some sensible reasons. Just not all of them are sensible, which is why we are in a much more liberated time in history than other times in the past. There has been progress, for instance, in limiting what we can and can't do in the bedroom (oral sex was considered sodomy and both were illegal in many if not all states in the U.S.). My point has been that sex is such a natural part of nudism that that societal freaking out about it falls fully into the realm of repression. We see sex used to sell everything with billboards that are alot more sexually charged than a 60-something nude woman with an all-over tan on her sagging tits and ass, yet a guy getting a hardon at the beach ruffles feathers. The real problem is that sexuality can catch like wildfire and turn a beach full of nudists into an orgy (at least to some small degree) like in Cap D'adge, and that scares people because the people who don't like it judge the people who do. Humans are such weird creatures in that they turn the act that brought each and every living being into existence into a forbidden experience. We might just as well be ashamed of living on a planet that rotates on an axis. It is a sad fact that those who don't want to be inconvenienced by complaints by the gratefully repressed reinforce the idea that sex is unnatural. Many people learn about sex from seeing barnyard animals, pets or wild animals (including insects) mating. When was the last time you saw law enforcement descending on the owners of dogs who got it on? People will break them up to avoid embarrassment among themselves, though some will treat it humorously, but no one gets arrested for letting nature take its course with the pets in the front yard. Again, I am not lobbying for a libertine society, just saying it's a drag we can't be a little freer in the more secluded areas of the beach, away from the eyes of minors and prudes. And again, while I have no experience of Gunnison in any regard, my wife and I have had discreet sex on every nude beach we have been on, as well as some clothed beaches. In over thirty years of doing this we have been accosted by angry nudists maybe once or twice, and mostly, we found out, it was because they felt left out. On some beaches sexual activity is either tolerated or encouraged, and those of course are our favorites. I think of it as how it was at outdoor concerts when joints would be passed out in the open even though it was highly illegal then... the point was not to impose the practice on anyone else, but to cut through the hypocrisy and allow people to do what they wanted (as long as they don't impose it on anyone else.) My advice is if you are in a place (grocery store, church, public beach like Gunnison) where you can expect to be accosted for blatant sexual activity, proceed with the same caution you would when exceeding the posted speed limit (which could get you arrested or killed). And then think about the connection of nudity and sex and why a site such as this, much of which is primarily aimed at stimulating sexuality originating from simple nudity, is so richly supplied by its members... |

Speaking of St. Martin.......

Speaking of St. Martin, my avatar & pro pic is of the wife in front of Esmeralda resort on Orient Beach, located far down the beach from Club Orient. That was quite a long time ago, and at the time, Esmeralda was OK nude, but not widely practiced. Then for a while, OK nude but only in a smaller beach area off to the side. More recently, not a chance. But always topless friendly. And, no overt sexual activity that I ever saw. After quite a few trips to St. Martin, the only time we ever got involved in a sexual act in public was on "Green Cay" a tiny islet about a half mile offshore from Orient Beach. We had a guy take us out there in a little 12 ft. boat in the morning, with him to pick us back up later in the afternoon. As soon as we got on the beach we got naked without a thought as there was no one in sight. The purpose of us going out there was for us to do a little snorkeling as we understood that was a decent spot. And we did snorkel around a bit, and it was just OK. We swam back to the beach and broke out the bottle of wine we brought along with some bread and cheese. We're lying there in complete solitude. Not another soul on the beach and no boats ever came close. After a leisurely lunch and with the wine gone, we start getting amorous, and before you know it we are fucking our brains out right out in the open where anyone could see. But of course, there is no one to see us. Except those couple hundred people on Orient Beach, but with a half mile between us, they looked like ants. But the remote possibility of being seen made it super exciting! We remained nude until we saw our boat guy headed back to get us. A couple of old low-resolution pics of Bonnie on Green Cay. In the one pic the buildings on the left is Mont Vernon resort. Club Orient was much closer to us, but we have no pics with that in the background. And no action shots were taken, just too busy! . |

One theme that has been running through my last two posts here is the endangered status of nude beaches and the fact that the Park Service has cited sexual activity as a reason to restrict nude use. So, there is not only the legal jeopardy of getting caught, but also jeopardizing the status of the beach itself. Anybody could hook up on some isolated traditional clothed beach with like-minded people. What I don't want to see is an unnecessary risk to the status of a place like Gunnison Beach. |

I'll repeat: "Every natural place has areas in which one can indulge oneself outside the view of objecting eyes." An exception - a natural place that has no areas like that - would not be outside the view of potentially objecting eyes and not included in the quote above. Think of the fact that there are even ANY nude beaches in America. Why is nudity legal at Gunnison or Haulover and get you arrested and labeled a sex offender on another beach up the coast? It's interesting to find people who associate public nudity with sex enough to look at pics of naked girls in public and pay for the privilege and yet disdain actual sex there. It is an arbitrary measure of sexuality - naked and stimulating okay as long as the meat doesn't go horizontal, but the moment it does it should have the hammer of "what if" leveled on it. I agree that most people going to the beach are not looking for sex on the beach, and that to assume so would be as stupid and dangerous as it would be to assume a woman who agreed to go to dinner also agreed to sex in every position. but it is a real hypocrisy in our midst to blast those who would like to experience sex with their nudity while contributing to a website which is heavily purposed for the sexual enjoyment of nudity at the beach. Porn used to be illegal even in one's home. Pictures of genitals were considered obscene and worthy of jail time. I wonder how many would say we should not post sex pictures on line because authorities cite nude pics as contributing to the proliferation of pics of sex. Gays were forbidden by law and stiff punishment (pardon the pun) for doing something authorities "got complaints" about. Oral sex, anal sex - all considered sign posts on the road to hell and by permitting one thing was giving permission to every negative association anyone could come up about it. So Brunettes rule, I get it - you don't want the opportunity to enjoy the milder sexual feelings you get bringing your beautiful wife to the nude beach where you can take pics of her for us lucky pervs at home, cocks in hand, because some in-person perv hoping to get lucky goes around jerking his hardon at every female on the beach until there are so many complaints the ones patrolling call for a shut down of the whole thing. Nor would people who enjoy a glass of wine want prohibition because minors are sometimes successful in obtaining some. But as everyone here who has ever been voyeur to willing exhibitionists knows, there is an often unspoken ritual of whether someone is interested in taking the inclinations to the next level. Like dating there are clues given and hopefully taken that lead everyone involved to the same conclusion and no one feels subjected to any imposition. |
