Someone sends me a description of what they're looking for, in as much or as little detail as they like. I read through it and break it down to get a rough running time, content requested, performer availability, and incidental things like props and/or wardrobe needed. I then figure out if it's something I can release or if it would be a private video just for them, an idea of the cost, and then send it back to them for review. We go back and forth as many times as needed until we agree on everything. Then they place their order and make payment, and I produce it for them.

Because of the nature of custom orders, everything can vary so wildly that everything is flexible. The only rules are: there's a 15 minute minimum on orders to make it worth producing unless it's a private commission, and obviously I can't shoot something with a specific performer if she's not available, or doesn't shoot the content requested. Beyond that I've shot everything from 90-minute epics for mass-release a few weeks after delivery to 15-minute solo performances that were just for the client as they didn't fit what I market.
