Having never been to one of these (frankly, I don't think my heart would take it)

I have a few questions: 1) Is there a significance to the beads - like during Mardi Gras
2) Do men ever get tossed out due to inappropriate behavior or are they mostly well behaved

I'm think ever since covid came, NAP is no longer happening. I also heard that since the lady who organized it all passed away that NAP is a thing of the past. So all we have left are great pictures and memories
